What a weekend of football!

Roleystone and East Fremantle 1 and 2 on the ladder going down to Coolbellup and Yanchep respectively.

These results along with Swan Athletics big win against Ocean Ridge has rekindled interest in the competition.

Results

Swan Districts vs. Willetton

A big win for the Swans with Marshall and Walley amongst the goals again.

Roleystone vs. Coolbellup

Ventured up the hill to check this one out. Roleystone looked in control early, but Coolbellup fought back and up until midway through the 3rd quarter it was goal for goal.

Coolbellup with superior leg speed, ball movement and dominance in the ruck and through the midfield grabbed control of the game in the 3rd quarter.

Roleystone looked in trouble in the final quarter as Coolbellup opened up the game with their hard running pressuring the Roleystone defense who lacked pace compared to their opponents. Roleystone’s game wasn’t helped by poor hand and foot skills and poor decision making resulting in numerous turn overs.

Coolbellup continued to run hard and win the ball and as a result kicked away in the final quarter to win comfortably.

Swan Athletic vs. Ocean Ridge

Expected his game to be closer, but Athletic obviously played to their potential to run out easy winners.

Yanchep vs. East Fremantle

A surprise result given Freo’s form over the last few weeks. Not much feedback on this game, but Yanchep is in good form with wins over Swans Districts and Freo in the last two games.

North Beach vs. Quinns District

A hard fought game with North's keeping its final hopes alive with a narrow win.

Round 12

This round sees the top four side’s battle each other for positions in the four and a number of games could go either way.

Ocean Ridge vs. Willetton

The ridge to win comfortably at home against a struggling Willetton.

Yanchep vs. Roleystone

Yanchep will go into the game full of confidence after their win last week. If Roleystone don’t turn up to play, Yanchep on their current form and at home can cause an upset. However, Roleystone will be expected to bounce back after last week’s loss and win in a close game.

Quinns District vs. Swan Athletic

Quinn’s down on form and confidence will struggle to match an improving Athletic. Athletic to win this one comfortably.

Coolbellup vs. North Beach

North Beach has been playing consistently. However, after last week stirring win over Roleystone and playing at home, Coolbellup will be to strong and skilful for North’s and should record a comfortable win.

East Fremantle vs. Swan Districts

Swans grabbed 2nd spot on the ladder after Freo’s surprise loss to Yanchep. This should be a hard fought contest. Freo have a slight advantage playing at home, but will need to curtail the strong Swans forwards. This game could go either way, but Swans to win in a close one.
