Wendy - it doesn't take much thought to recognise that when you are 0-11, it is challenging to front up each week with enthusiasm to play football. Everyone likes to win and nobody like losing. You also need to try different things when you are losing each week which is what the club is doing. Not everyone will agree with the changes you make and the people you give opportunities to.

It is definitely disappointing to lose players to another club. It is even more disappointing when they leave half way through a year and effectively put themselves ahead of their teammates and club. If you are unhappy about a club, a coach or whatever, is it my opinion that you owe it to your fellow players to see the season out. But players make their own decisions and in this instance, players have left to go to a club which is sitting pretty in both the league and reserves competition. This will not always be the case for that club as inevitably, clubs will experience good and bad times. In my view, future success will be all the more enjoyable knowing I am doing it with a group of players who are prepared to tough out the hard times, grit their teeth and come out the other side.

It is easy to ride the good times, it is harder to tough out the bad times but they make you all the stronger.

Good luck to all involved.

Good Luck to them if that's why they have gone, One would hope it doesn't get too hard at there new club cause they will leave there as well. Pretty sure a C2 club from last season topped up with players around the halfway mark of last year. That hasn't worked out real well for them in 2015.

I tend to agree with you Mayor. But the Frase decided to bag them hard on the way out.

Authority - Noranda didn't seek out these players. So there was no effort to top up, but what C2 club would turn away players who have played A Grade.

I see both sides of the story, I just don't think players should cop that on the way out. It seems 1 player just took the brunt of a year's worth of frustration. Plenty of reasons could be listed as to why I have heard they are leaving but there is no need to do it.

The Authority which club are you refferring to?

Definitely agree with other posts in toughing it out at a club that is struggling. But that is the sign of the times in football these days and again goes back to ammos allowing new clubs to enter so close to existing clubs.

Feel for the bloke who has busted his gut and hanging on to his dream of back to back flags... just to get dropped because some A grader has come in mid year.....

Didn't seem to work - understand Thornlie belted Noranda by 13 odd goals - go figure

Maybe they recruited the A Graders to boost their ressies' aspirations for a flag. Gave Thornlie reserves a fair touch up.

Exile - Looking at the team lists from yesterday, all of the "players in question" did play reserves yesterday. I can't imagine they'd be going from A grade to C2R, and I can't imagine Noranda would be needing nor trying to beef up their ressies side given they are 12-0 and their league side is pushing for top 3. I have a feeling that nobody is a walk-up start at the club and you have to earn your crack at league. Let's see where they line up next week.

The margin was a surprise given that Noranda is probably the form side in the last month. Was Thornlie that good? Smashed Noranda in the Colts as well. Love to hear from either side.

Spot on NTM.

It was fair to say all of the top sides played accordingly yesterday.

Thornlie colts were very very good. Haven't seen ball movement like that from 18-20 year olds....ever. Well at least at C2 level.

Reserves was competitive for the first half. Thornlie continued to try hard but Noranda were all over them. Number 5 for Thornlie decided to belt a few players off the ball later in the game (umps missed it of course) Fair to say this will be remembered if they meet again.

League was pretty much the same as the reserves. Competitive for a half and then Thornlie ran away with it. Thornlie clearly had a point to prove after losing last week.

Couldn't see players from a team on the bottom in A Grade would be much help to a top team in C2.
