Solid performance from both teams but High Wycombe had definitely came to play today giving Thornlie their first loss for the season. They were fierce with their tackling and relentless with their forward movement of the ball. Again reiterating to their tackling pressure, it was astounding to see a hard running side like Thornlie be tangled up with their run of the ball and denying them inside 50's they would otherwise have gotten
Umpiring was questionable at best but consistently imperfect for both sides

Other games, will be interesting to see how they fair up, a couple of important games yet to see results from which will have an influence on the ladder

Good effort on the weekend from the young Wycombe team very happy with how the young ones every week step it up another level with the big boys. Outstanding game with the ball back and forward all over the ground. High Wycombe should of put more score on the board but missing some easy shots. Game in good spirit with a big home crowd and Thornlies big crowd getting behind them. Nothing beats a bit of footy banter.

Question is will Thornlie lose 2 straight with a strong hard running naranda should be a cracker.

Chris Yarran to Keneick is a handy inclusion.

Been looking at the clearances from all A grade sides and Noranda seemed to have grabbed a few players from their A grade namesake the hawks... Got on the blower to my mates down Hamer and they say a few lads have walked out in the last week and this has been the case the last few years.
Blokes who have wanted an easy ride, are just babies, have no heart for their mates or football club, are gutless and didnt want to stay at mt Lalwey because the pressure of A grade got to hard - geez, really the type of people I want in my side!! Haha.one bloke walked from an A grade side and was in the state 23s to a C2 side - great for wanting to get the best out of yourself mate and play in the best league possible. Boys told me he has a big mouth anyway and thinks he should be playing AFL but should have signed up for the Mt Lalwey side that plays Saturday in the WAWFL.
So look out the for the yellow and brown birds to have a real dip in c2.

Sounds like you have phone calls with yourself as you sound pretty bitter for someone who is not down at Hamer.

And in fairness to the boys from Lightning they were having a dip in C2 already, players like the ones you described only make them stronger. good luck to them for attracting players from a higher division without the use of coin. They should be congratulated.

Might have something to do with the big money being offered to players to go to mtlawley, maybe the plyers that are already there are not happy with this type of thig happening. Garth Taylor has struggled in his role as a coachZ relegating High wycombe and now relegating Mt lawley.

You are probably right FreoFortheflag. But I thought only Kelmscott paid for players?

Perhaps Mt Lawley should put more thought into why players are leaving rather then getting on here and bagging those who have left.
