What another good round of B Grade WAAFL football we have in store. The top 5 again all play sides based in the bottom half, which may see that gap grow once more. If all goes according to plan then the top 5 should be locked and loaded with the only movement determining positions. That's MrM's thoughts, and just remember I am rarely wrong.
If over the last 3 weeks you didn't watch "The Killing Season" on the ABC well you have missed out and I suggest it a must watch TV Show. No such problems with MrM, I have always marched to the tune of my own drum and very few have ever upstaged me. That was until a few days ago when I noticed the WAAFL was edging in on my turf and writing about B Grade football. MrM felt threatened and was just going to copy and paste that article into this weeks write up. However fair is fair, here's a copy of the link, click on it and have a read.

If you didn't notice in The West Australian yesterday and today MrM's confidant Tony Galati has been spruiking his new plan to get people eating healthy which some may think goes against everything MrM has been telling you all season. Fresh food and produce are the right thing to eat, but that doesn't mean you still can't have hot chips, as potatoes still go well deep fried, but MrM suggests remove the gravy, they still taste as delicious. For a man into his 50's Tony still looks good to me.
Let's get into this weekends games, sorry for getting sidetracked as usual.
Collegians v Hamersley Carine @Allen Park
Last time they met
Hamersley Carine 15.12 (102) defeated Collegians 9.8 (62)
Collegians slipped out of the Top 5 and with University holidays starting numbers may be tested as they looks to push themselves back into that finals fold. A loss here could see them lose touch and it might be too much of a task to play finals. Hamersley are holding firm, every week I think may be tough for them, they continue to come through with the win. Hamersley should be too good here though and continue to surprise MrM.

Maddington v Swan Athletic @Harmony Fields
Last time they met
Swan Athletic 16.16 (112) defeated Maddington 8.11 (59)
It is 10th v 2nd as we see Maddngton looking to try and turn there season around and climb off the bottom of the ladder. It may be too tough a task given they have a poor percentage, but they have everything to play for and nothing to lose which is always dangerous. Swan Ath will be looking at this game and hoping they can fine tune that game plan and get a nice percentage boost along the way. When you start looking to far forward though it may mean you take one step back. Swan Ath to be to big and strong and too good though.

Kingsway v Scarborough @Kingsway Reserve
Last time they met
Scarborough 19.10 (124) defeated Kingsway 11.2 (68
Kingsway sit perilously close to relegation and will need a huge effort to ensure they don't fall into that zone. They will need to improve on their last performance v Scarborough, they are still a sneaky chance to play finals if they can. Scarborough now atop the B Grade ladder will be out to ensure they stay in that position. If they can maintain their recent form this should be another easy win for the form side of the competition. Scarborough to flex the muscle this week and show why they deserve to be top.

Stirling v Wembley @Richard Guefli Reserve
Last time they met
Wembley 25.13 (163) defeated Stirling 2.7 (19)
Stirling are struggling and they face a stiff battle to try and avoid relegation. A severe lack of depth has not helped and they come up against a side that has already put them away once this season. If Wembley play with the same intensity they displayed last weekend, Stirling will not get close. Could this be like Wembley last season as they storm home in the second half of the year? MrM says watch out other sides in the Top 5. Either way Wembley should get it done on Saturday, maybe not by as much as last time but still by a big margin.

Wanneroo v Whitford @Wanneroo Showgrounds MOTR
Last time they met
Whitford 11.9 (75) defeated by Wanneroo 12.16 (88)
Saying this is Match Of The Round is an understatement. Given the rivalry between these two clubs Saturday promises to be a great match. Can Wanneroo bounce back from last weeks effort in front of an expected bumper crowd? Can Whitford sustain last weeks momentum and make a push towards finals? We shall find out Saturday.
Wanneroo should be kicking themselves they let one slip last weekend and will need to rectify that on Saturday. As they come up against the 3 top sides in the next 3 weeks a win here could give them momentum and confidence that is needed. Whitford, fresh off a not only a good win but a big night for the club last Saturday will look to spoil the party at Wanneroo. It's not going to be easy, but Whitford have a good chance to play finals, and a win this weekend would be go a long way to ensure that happens. Wanneroo at home will be a touch to good.
Wanneroo by 3 goals
MrM is excited for Saturday as it doubles as the Premiership Reunion for the successful 1995 side, plus a game against Whitford is always likely to draw a crowd, it should be an absolute ripper.
