The weather is getting cooler and it must mean we are starting to get into the tough part of the footy season. We are now a third of the way through the season and while it is tight through the Top 5 it is also a close battle towards the other end of the ladder and that dreaded relegation zone. This weekend could see that gap grow larger and it can be a tough road back to make finals from there
MrM is looking forward to Saturday as it is Ladies Day at Wanneroo. Let's hope the canteen has been to see Sir Tony Galati and stocked up on potatoes to get those hot chips cranking out from the canteen. Also another chance to find prospective Mrs Mysterious'. If I fail at Wanneroo's I'm paying $1.10 to find a lady at Maddington's Ladies Day when we travel there. The double is paying $10.90 great odds I think.
Let's get into this weekends football.
Collegians v Maddington @Allen Park
Well it's no surprises but if either of these sides want to play finals football they need to get a wriggle on. An old rivalry renewed this weekend. Collegians have been close, but off for the most part this season, they will need to get back on track with a win here. Maddington took it right up to Wembley last weekend, but another team who fell short. Both sides need the win as they desperately hope to maintain touch with the Top 5. At home Collegians may be too strong.

Hamersley Carine v Scarborough @Carine Open Space MOTR
Well MrM has awarded this game Match Of The Round. Mainly because I think this will be a close game of football between two sides looking to grab themselves a spot inside the Top 3 at the end of the season.
Hamersley took out the undefeated Swan Ath last weekend and only sit a minor percentage off top spot. They have surprised many this season and will be to keep that good form going. Scarborough bounced back with a nail biting win against Whitford last weekend. A win here could see them push up the ladder while a loss could see them fall back. It's sure to be a good game at the ground with the smallest point posts ever. Hamersley to get up in a tight game here.

Whitford v Stirling @MacDonald Reserve
Whitford are struggling so far in 2015 with a few close losses. If they can start to turn those around then they can salvage something from this season and push towards finals. Same goes for Stirling, it was always going to be tough coming up from C Grade with a lack of depth, but if they can stop the final quarter fade-outs and play 4 quarters of football they too can make a push for finals, a loss here though for either side and it will be a tough road back. A tough game to tip but Whitford could have an advantage here.

Wembley v Swan Athletic @Pat Goodridge Reserve
A game very close to my Match of the Round.
Wembley are now starting to string together a few wins and are looking good in 2015. They are still undefeated at home and no doubt they should expect to keep that record in tact this weekend. On a side note MrM has seen the plans for the new rooms at Pat Goodridge. Looks like you all have a real winner there. Wembley face a Swan Ath side ready to rebound from their first loss last weekend. Swan Ath will be hoping they don't have many more of those performances otherwise their early season work could come undone as they look to go straight back to A Grade.
It should be another closely fought game. Wembley should get it done in a tight one.

Wanneroo v Kingsway @Wanneroo Showgrounds
Both sides do battle for the "Mayors Cup" for the first time since that thrilling C Grade Preliminary Final back in 2013.
Wanneroo have showed some fight in the past two weeks digging deep to come away with victories. As always a vocal crowd will be spurring them on as they look to consolidate themselves in the Top 5. Kingsway grabbed their second win last weekend and would have gained confidence from that. They usually lift a gear or two when playing Wanneroo so I expect it to be a another tough and rough clash. Wanneroo should get it done here.

Well I'm definitely looking forward to Saturday. Are any clubs aided by the WAFL bye?
MrM might be out and about Saturday Night so if you dare, you know where MrM loves to go, so come along and treat yourselves to an experience.
