Well we are now a Third of the way through the season. We are starting to see some separation from the pack as Swan Ath have a chance to open up a two game buffer at the top of the table, it could be a log jam behind them to fight out the other places. We wont see many easy games with the chance of upsets almost a common occurrence much like the AFL. MrM's tipping has been shot to pieces and I am really starting to question my self worth as a primary school child is beating me.
The Federal Budget was handed down Tuesday so I'm excited to see small businesses are now being rewarded and with the interest rate lower than ever before it's a good time to buy a new house, set up a new store and reap the rewards. I'm not sure if my man Tony Galati's potato business is small, but maybe the State Government has something on offer for Tony.
It's also National Volunteer Week, so thank your Volunteers. Clubs wouldn't be able to run without them so they deserve praise, buy them a drink, offer to assist with any tasks and just give them a pat on the back. Thanks VOLUNTEERS.
Alright I went off on a tangent let us get back on track with the games.
Swan Athletic v Hamersley Carine @Fawell Park MOTR
1 v 2 Swan Ath looking to put a gap between themselves and the rest of the ladder. Hamersley looking to get back the one they lost last week so it's my Match Of The Round.
Swan Ath have a good chance here to cement there place at the top of the ladder with many tough games ahead, they take on 3 of contenders in the next 4 weeks. If they win here they open up a 2 game gap between themselves and second. Hamersley are on the road again and are staring down the barrel of losing their second straight. If they can win here then nobody can doubt they are as good a chance as any to go deep into finals this season. The wild weather might negate the strong forward lines from both sides. Swan Ath should still get the job done though.

Maddington v Wembley @Harmony Fields
Maddington apparently changed coach and got a win. It's surprising the amount of times that has happened in any sporting code. They still sit in the bottom of the ladder, but more wins like that and they can quickly close the gap and lift themselves out f the relegation zone. Wembley, still undefeated at home, are looking for their first road win this season. They look to be sharing around the goals and are starting to hit their straps as they look to push themselves into the top 5. If they win here they could join a few teams sitting 4-2. They should win here though.

Kingsway v Collegians @Kingsway Reserve
All the close losses could come back to haunt Kingsway as they search to find some momentum in their first season in B Grade. Only registering 1 win so far and sit just off the bottom of the ladder, a win on Saturday is needed. Collegians turned it on in the Fourth quarter last week to get a win over Stirling. If they can string together a few more wins like that then it could see them challenging for a spot in the top 5. If Collegians play 100 minutes of football here, they will win. I won't rule out a Kingsway upset though.

Scarborough v Whitford @Millington Reserve
Scarborough were off slightly last weekend and that's all it could take this season for a team to capitalise on any given "Saturday". Back at home, a ground they play well, they will be seeking revenge against Whitford. Meanwhile Whitford lost narrowly to ladder leaders Swan Ath and will need to improve if they want to play finals this season. Scarborough should show why they are still the team to best this season and take care of North Padbury comfortably.

Stirling v Wanneroo @Richard Guefli Reserve
After a poor fourth quarter last weekend cost them a victory no doubt Stirling will be out to make amends this weekend. It's never easy coming back up through the grades, and as the season wears on Stirling's depth should be tested and could impact a chance of playing finals. Wanneroo started to play good football last weekend and should take confidence from that. If they play like they did last weekend on Saturday they should win. It's also the battle of the winless Reserves Sides. Wanneroo should get the sweep here.

Should be some wet and wild conditions this weekend which always makes for fun football. I'll warn people now MrM is in no mood to be mucking around, so although Stirling have avoided a tirade about no Colts side (this time), I shall be less accepting if they produce a sub-par canteen.
Good luck on the weekend all. Play in good spirits and make sure those timekeepers know what's happening...
