Some interesting results on the weekend. I saw Bassendean play on Sat and they played a game in spits and spats. The first qtr was very good but they weren't as good after that. They had a young side form what I could see, lots of new faces. Saw Chris Yarran pull the boots on to but he looked out of sorts and didn't really do much. They have some good young players that will help shape the club if they hang around. carlisle played some good footy all day.

Some weird results on Sat. Willetton seem to have fallen away. Ocean ridge look like they may have recruited some players to score like that. Also Kingsley have turned the corner. Anyone at other games like to talk about what they saw.

Was down at the OR v Melville game on the weekend. Good win by Ridge was tight in the 1st Q but ridge just controlled the footy and rebounded well. The reserves side Melville had on the park resembled a thirds side and there were a few missing from the league side also. Had a word to a Melville player and he said a few players had walked out mid-week. Can anyone confirm this? Where did the players end up?

We have Basso this week so hopefully make it 3 in a row with a good crowd of past players supporting from the hill.

Maggies- we've had a tough start to the year with players retiring, long term injuries (from last yr) and a lot of young colts being blooded they are starting to hold their own and build confidence. We will start getting a few players back with in the next month which will hopefully strengthen all grades.

Be good to hear about some of the other games played on the weekend.

Melville were absolutely crap on the weekend. They had a few out on the weekend with injury and a number of guys away but that's no excuse. There was only a goal in it at half time and Ocean Ridge played well and they deserved to win. The made the rams look silly in the last half and the team was embarrassed by its last half performance.

Hopefully we get a few back this week and give Quinns a worth challenge!

Good write up guys on the Melville OR game. From what I saw on Sat Basso to have blooded some young kids. Which is what you have to do to keep things rolling. May get some early pain but in the long run it will help the club. Some good footballers didn't do a great deal on Sat for Basso such as Yarran and some others.
Anyone go to the Kingsley and Willetton games?
Any truth about players from Melville walking out on the club?

Well done ocean ridge always hearing about Melville with players out when they lose. Comp looks solid which is good for footy quinns fair to say the team to beat. Also awesome to see a team go from c3 footy to c1 and sitting in 3rd well done Carlisle

Good stuff canybuyagoal. Kingsley seemed to have turned the corner from early in the season? Pretty handy having a side of 6footers and a key fwd. Did Kingsley recruit a few this year? Not sure who can touch Quinns at the moment.

Our rival game in the battle of south st was a hard tough game. Willeton held a first qtr lead before the creek piled on 10 of the next 11 and the last qtr was a couple of goals each. Hopefully we can get on a roll now And win a few in a row
