Dianella vs Cockburn (league)

Dianella was favorites and hopefully wanting a big % boost and thats exactly what happend,DM with some quality players out especially there Gun FOWARD didnt make any difference as DM pretty much controlled the whole game from the Warriors, with the Warriors having a fight back in the second qauter to maybe give DM some sort of scare but DM clicked the switch and ran the warriors into the ground and went away with a 90point win...

full credit to cockburn with there never die attitude and it was good to have beer after the game and watch the last qauter of Gws vs Hawks, great blokes cheers

Piara Waters Vs Manning

Manning got off to a good start kicking the first 3 goals of the game into the wind. Piara then settled to be up 5-6 goals at halftime. The last half was really tight with Manning coming within 10 points a couple of times but never quite enough to get them over the line. I did notice Manning only had 3 on the bench from the start of the game?

Piara have some real quality players but it seems no real gameplan at all.

Manning with their best 22 in will challenge anyone, especially at home.

Ballajura V Ellenbrook

I normally don't get on here but I witnessed a cracking game of footy on Saturday & many thanks to the Ballajura SFC for their hospitality. I commend the committee for the way they have transformed this club from a few years ago.

Now to the game itself well full credit to the Eels. Many wrote us off during the week clearly stating that Ballajura would have way too much class for us. The game was evenly contested all day & played in great spirit by both teams. I'm certainly not saying this to have a crack as no ones perfect but I do have to say the Ballajura umpire gave quite a few strange free kicks in Ballajura's favour including about 12 50m penalties which resulted in 3-4 goals to the Royals. This is certainly no blight on the Ballajura SFC or the Ballajura players. It just further highlights that we need neutral umpires that's all. I do understand it's bloody tough finding umpires but perhaps there should be a given rule that all club umpires umpire in the defensive side of their respective club always. That just prevents any grey areas that's all. That's just my opinion as a supporter of this great game of ours. Anyway it was a cracking game to watch & it highlights how close this grade is this year. No disrespect to the teams I leave out here but I think anyone of Piara Waters, Ellenbrook, Ballajura, SNESA, Dianella-Morley or Swan View can stake claims on a very successful season and any one of those sides can win on their day.

He doesn't sound like a bad umpire any more!

Saw a bit of the View vs Valley game.
The View were missing 2 of their best but that is the case for them each week,rarely do they have everyone available. It's the same for every team I know but these guys are the most important IMO.
Early they looked a class above and got out to a 5 goal lead half way through the 2nd qtr. A couple of injuries,The Views best player being 1 and The Valley gained some momentum to narrow the margin to a couple of goals at half time.
From there it was a pretty scrappy affair with The Valley throwing everything at The View and the The view being wasteful in front of goals yet again but Valley just couldn't get the upper hand.
The View will get a good test to see if they are contenders or pretenders this week against Piara. Will get a couple of decent ins and hopefully not too many outs.
