CSP lead from start to finish against a gallant Cougars side down at Clifton.
Heard their goal kicking cost them last week vs Kenwick and it looked early to maybe play part again but they peppered the goals and ended up winning with a big last quarter. Lots of scoring options by the looks.

Canning vale will trouble sides this year in a hard comp to pick looking at the results. I've been to two games now and can say it looks like an excellent standard compared to previous D/C2 grades I've seen over many years and games played in good spirit.

Well done tigers I notice it's another away game at Thornlie next week, will be a cracker.

Big orse - any news on injured players? Bench looked like a hospital ward late in the game ?

it was a big day down at mills park with a club Stalwart playing his 200th league game. unfortunately we had 3 losses but will look to regroup and move ahead strongly.

The colt’s game started out with a bang for Thornlie they jumped out of the blocks and to a fairly handy lead with quick precise ball movement and run from behind. They always seemed to have spare players around the contest as our players crowded the ball they would simply wait outside for the easy hands. They play their structures very well with very few lapses and their willingness to run and use the spare man helped them to an easy 83 point win which could’ve blown further out had Thornlie kicked straight.

The reserves game was similar to the colts with Thornlie holding their structures but the run from behind was a little less noticeable in the half I saw. The final margin was 40 points but again Thornlie was wasteful in front of goal so this could’ve been a bit higher.

The league game was a great contest in the first quarter heading into the break about square. Thornlie took control after that, their movement around the ground opened up plenty of space and they had excellent skills to back that up so we struggled to get the ball back off them at times. The final margin was 46 points and that probably does the gap on the day justice. We have some work ahead of us and we will be looking to make a better show of it next time we play them

HW vs Mosquitos:

Looks to me that the Mosquitos might have a bit of talent coming with the colts boys. Great unit and very good ball movement from the young fellas. The game was nice and close with 2 goals in it at half time. with high Wycombe playing nice hard footy but second half the Mosquitos were buzzing showing why they are the top team.

Reserves:

Tight first quarter with a strong breeze favouring the Mosquitos which they didn't really use to well. Second quarter HW come out firing piling on 5 goals to there 1. After the main break the Mosquitos must of got into what the colts had and got the game back to a goal at 3 quarter time. 4th quarter was goal for goal with HW taking away a 10 point win. Unlucky to the guy from mozzie getting the red from the biggest hay maker I've ever seen that missed lucky enough. Have a nice week or 2 buddy.

League:

Tight first quarter both sides end to end. 2nd was all the dogs which I think the margin should of been a lot worse but didn't take advantage of it. 3rd much the same but slowly making it harder for the Mosquitos yet they didn't put there head down which was good to see good on them. Last quarter HW much the same and worked hard for 4 quarters of footy not laying down giving the Mosquitos anything.

Well even though its round 5 out of the way what a tight comp and its great for footy thornlie leading the way which I think it's been some time for the lions.

Canning south Perth jumping back into the winners list after a nice win.

Naranda getting better as the comp goes on. With a nice win on the weekend kinda shocked me.

Cwp unlucky not to get the win on the weekend but should bounce back quickly.

Warnbro up and down dunno what to expect really on there day I'm guessing can knock anyone off.

Canningvale strong team for years now I'm sure they will find there feet and bounce back hopefully not against us but ;)

Kenwick will be a strong contender also I think this year with what I see a young team also.

I personally think mozzie and Brentwood are in trouble but hopefully they can turn things around long season ahead.

And as for the dogs down at the kennel very young team and should trouble a lot of sides this year.

A good win to the Tigers V Cougars on the weekend, although it did take them till after half time before they started to pull away.

on the injury side of things, nothing to be worried about just a few soft tissue bruisers and a rolled ankle in witch the player didn't go back on!
I did notice that Figgs had a run in the Two's after his week off and maybe done a knee or something.

big win for Noranda tho, we all knew it was coming. is this the start of something or Coolbinia just had a bad day?

Brentwood still yet to get up and about but will im sure still trouble a few teams.

After this weekend the top five should start to take shape. will be interesting with some wet weather footy on the way.
