As always this Round promises to be an interesting one. It's early on in the season but it's a good chance to see if we can separate the contenders from the pretenders.
MrM is looking forward to his journey up to Swan Athletic on the weekend, due to a main factor...Beer on tap!
Who can not be tempted by the delicious golden nectar of a freshly poured pot of Swan Draught. Although we are in grape picking country though MrM' and my close ally Tony Galati both love to indulge in a nice Pinot Noir, so may he make a guest appearance this weekend? We shall wait and see.
I'm looking forward to seeing the results come 5pm Saturday.
Hamersley Carine v Whitford @Carine Open Space
Hamersley showed everybody last week the importance of toughing out a game till the end as they snatched a victory away from home. They have a good side and clearly have some good depth in the Reserves. Whitford grabbed a win last weekend with an upset over Wembley. It looked like they took onboard MrM's advice and found different ways to goal. Should be a good contest. The boy at Hamersley should be happy after Saturday though, they will be 4-0.

Swan Athletic v Wanneroo @Fawell Park
Swan Ath have had a brilliant start to season 2015 as they have beaten all before them. You could say they haven't played anybody currently in the top 5, however you still need to win. Another club showing what good depth produces, with the Reserves also going along nicely. Wanneroo should be seething after snatching defeat from the jaws of victory last weekend. With a few tough weeks coming up it is important to ensure you don't fall off the pace, otherwise chances on playing finals could be an uphill battle. Wanneroo need to win here, but can they? I'm tipping they will in a close one.
Wanneroo by 3 points
Scarborough v Collegians @Millington Reserve
Scarborough have joined the party now, with two comprehensive wins in the past two weeks. They are obviously playing good team football down at The Mill. I'm sure "The Big Shuff" will want them producing wins like that every week. Collegians came up short against Swan Ath last weekend and will no doubt be looking to find that form that gained them a victory in round 1 this season. They might have a tough time here against a Scarborough side hungry to win.
Scarborough by 3 goals
Wembley v Kingsway @Pat Goodridge Reserve MOTR
Well Match Of The Round had to go somewhere so MrM thinks this will be a good contest. Especially as neither side can afford to slip to 1-3.
Wembley have shown what they can do when they play well but won't want too many losses in games they expected to win. Last time they played at home they record a 15 goal victory, is it just away games they struggle? Kingsway grabbed their first ever win in B Grade last weekend with a come from behind victory and they will need to produce there best football to overcome Wembley here. Wembley should be too good though, just depends what Wembley team rolls up.
Wembley by 4 goals.
Stirling v Maddington @Richard Guefli Reserve
Stirling lost a close one to new rivals Kingsway. They have a good league side, but the depth may be tested as the season goes on. If they can maintain the core of the lesgue side they may be able to push for finals. Maddington are the only winless side so far this season. They are already behind the the 8 ball but I'm sure they can bounce back and still impact the competition. Sadly for them I doubt it will be this week.
Stirling by 2 goals.
Looks like it will be another round of closely contested football, only a slim chance of rain.
Still waiting for the first opposition supporter wanting a free beer from MrM! Come see and I shall deliver.
