I was away for the grand final and didn't see any of the grand final but two wrongs don't make a right, running on the ground and singing the song was wrong but football is a family sport and the language off that balcony us nothing any young kid should here

Seems like a few b grade clubs are taking a win at all cost approach with the siren. Hopefully, an honest mistake at kingsway or the league may have to introduce new regulations to eradicate such behaviour

If we are talking about an 8 second difference it falls back to the old argument about when time starts at the commencement of each quarter:

(1) Does time start when the umpire blows the whistle OR
(2) When the umpires release the ball into play

It is supposed to be when the umpire RELEASES the BALL. I know some of the younger umpires insist on bouncing the ball and seriously it takes them at least 8 seconds after they have blown the whistle to set themselves up and bounce the ball.

In keeping with the above it may all be a storm in a tea cup.

MrM isn't a great tipster. I only tipped 5/9 in the AFL. So my tipping is well off this season. Sorry I'll get to my write up about Saturday shortly, because gee we had some good football.

As for Kingsway, MrM back in the day was on the end of several tongue lashings from the Kingsway faithful. Just remember it is community football, so a level of decorum should be maintained.

Sledge wrote: Stirling vs Kingsway was a great game, Stirling led all day and kicked themselves out of the game only kicking 1 goal 5 in the last quarter which let kingsway back in who kicked a goal with about 30 seconds to go. The day wasn't without drama though with kingsway apprentley blowing the siren 8 seconds late for 3 quater time in which they kicked a goal.
Was a shame that the Kingsway crowd on the balcony spoiled the day with an unsportsman like send of to the Stirling team and a few certain members still telling profanitys off the balcony at the team after the game was over. Was one of the worst displays I have seen

Clearly cant believe anything you say. Your very first line is incorrect. Stirling led all day? Quarter time says Kingsway 21 Stirling 13....

Iv'e seen the Stirling locals at it, they would of given it just as good as they got it!

Bottom line is that it was a cracking game of footy that was only decided in the last 30 seconds. Their is now quite a rivalry between the 2 teams that is mainly waged between the supporters as both sides are actually quite good mates with each other off the field. Both sets of supporteres were giving as good as they got so it would really be unfair to single out 1 club as the aggressor

As for the remainder of the year, it doesnt get any easier however for both sides although i do see Kingsway getting better as the year goes on as the new players start to gel a bit more. They also have some pretty good depth with the Ressies and colts which will help when the inevitible injuries / Illness c ome along. As for Stirling, they will always be competitive when they field there best side however i do believe that over the course of the year, having no colts as well as a pretty ordinary reserves will hurt them should they no be able to field there best team

Well what an interesting Round of results. Kingsway and Whitford got a win Scarborough again showed some class and Swan Ath and Hamersley remain undefeated.

I'll keep this brief because I haven't had much free time this due to a shortened week and busy work commitments.

Wanneroo in the colts = a wonderful team effort. Won by 13 goals

Wanneroo in the Reserves= falling short again. A win is close. lost by 9 points

Wanneroo in the league = controlled the game for 90 of the 100 minutes. Lost the game in the last 10. A win would have definitely been handy with a tough few weeks ahead for the Roos. However just goes to show if you don't play 100 minutes of football then don't expect to win. Also the goal kicking was woeful.
Lost by 3 points. Kicked 1.5 in the first quarter.

Hot chips= well not much to say, that I already haven't. The chips at Arena Joondalup on Monday, would rival the ones at The Showgrounds, but I'll stick with the $$ value of the ones at Wanneroo.
Had to mortgage my house just to buy a bottle of water and chips at Arena Joondalup
