Looks like a whole new league in E1 this year with 5 new teams

Yanchep v Coolbellup
This will the match of the round .Yanchep were Metro league premiers last year so should have a pretty strong outfit. Coolby were big disappointments last season and with the team they had should have gone a lot further in the finals but they lacked teamwork and structure and were poorly coached and thus were out in the first week of the finals . The Cats have new coaches and are getting good numbers on the track with a lot of new recruits. They should beat Yanchep.

North Beach V Ocean Ridge
North Beach have come up a grade so should have a decent side. The Ridge threatned at times last year but were too one paced to go any further and finished 8th. They should get over the line.

Willoten V East Fremantle
East Freo are coming down from C3 . Nollamara came down from C3 last year and only won one game in E1. There is not much differance between C3 and E 1 as after watching all of the C 3 Grand final which was played as a curtain raiser to the E1 Grand Final last year I thought the E1 Grand Final was a much better game. Because of this East Fremantle will have to play well to beat sides like Willetton but you would think they should win.

Roleystone V Quinns
Bad start for the Quinns boys up at Roleystones mountain hideaway. The last game Roley played was the Grand Final last year and what a way to loose. The siren sounded 3 minutes early with Roleystone 3 points ahead and they started to celebrate only to be told that the siren was early and had to go back and play out the last 3 minutes. Safety Bay kicked a couple of goals in the last three minutes to win the gàme. It was very hard to watch the shattered Roley players after the game. The Tigers have waited 6 months and they will be looking to take it out on the Quinnsboys and I reckon Roleystone will absolutely smash Quinns by 20 goals.

Swan Athletic V Swan Districts
. Swan Districts had a very talented team last year but they were poorly coached and finished near the bottom of the ladder. The Swan Districts will win this game as Athletic won't be ready for them.

Good write Jords agree should be interesting with 5 new teams added

Yanchep v coolbellup
Should be a good game be interested to see how many coolly get up to yanchep not travelling well last year( devastated they have changed coaches last years one was if not anything worth the comedy value with his screaming) yanchep will be looking to make an impact in the WAAFL so should be a tight game

North beach v ocean ridge
Beach also looking to make an impact after coming up be interested to see there team as this is beaches 5th side, ridge on the other hand have been a bit hit and miss over the last couple of years at least they have a few games NOR this year as they don't travel well. If beach can stop ridges switch and drive off half back they will win

Willeton v East freo
Should be an interesting game a lot of clearances out of East freo but should still have some serviceable cattle. Willeton will be a well drilled side having done well last year will want to take it to East freo I think a lot of teams will watch this one with interest
East freo 3 goals

Rolystone v quinns
Could be the first big hammering of the year rolly boys will be hurting after last years lose in the GF and don't look to have to many changes and play there ground extremely well
Quinn's will be middle of the road this year and this will be not the start they would want after also getting smacked rd1 last year
Rolystone 10+ goals

Swan athletic v swan districts
Swan districts will be out to right a few wrongs from last year I think they will be back this year big time always fitter than most teams at the start of the year. Swan ath will not know what's hit them first game up and will not be a good start for them

watched swan districts go down by about 15 goals the other week. they probably had 3 good players. they did have some massive boys though

No surprises in last weeks results. Yanchep gave notice that they will be one of the teams to beat and again Coolby have the same old with travel going down to Yanchep by 8 goals after promising so much. The Cats have great numbers on the track this year and will rebound .

East Freamantle gave Willetton a good touch up by 12 goals and look set for a good season. Easts have come down from C3 and will want a good season to rebuild their club.

Roleystone gave Quinns the expected 17 goal flogging they needed to purge themselves of last years Grand Final loss. The Tigers at home in front of their big crowd and their small tricky oval will be very hard to beat this year as they look to go one better than last year.

North Beach stepped up the grade with style to defeat Ocean Ridge by 5 goals . Looks like more of the same for Ridge while North Beach could be a team to look out for.

Swan Districts beat Swan Athletic by 4 goals at the Vineyards .

Where do you guys get this info? I coached cooby last year and to say i poorly coached and only good for comedy reason is utter bs! The most we ever had at training was 15 or 16 and that happened maybe once or twice! I never had the same team 2 weeks in a row! We had no depth meaning most of the team could only play one position! Lost my captain in round 1 doing his acl! And with 4 people not showing up to a final is why we didnt go further! So what i yelled, dont you guys have passion and want to see your team peform! Get over yourselves! I would like to see you do any better! Just so you know too cooby is in the same position as last year with a maxium of about 12 players at training! Pull your heads outta your arses!

Don't worry lad they said the same thing about us last year. Only thing I could say about you guys is that elim final when you clearly had the better side but let Melville live another week of misery through discipline issues

Yea i know what cost us the game at the final, like it would of mattered as both us and the rams never got close to bayswater, i just thought i would defend my self seeing as its easy for these blokes to sit behind There keyboards, its just funny how jords seems to think he knows everything specially when we only have 1 new coach, and after the first game we had 7 tuesday night and i think 11 thursday night,
