My understanding is no. They would only be banned for nominating an A Reserve side. If they get relegated then they are entitiled to nominated for a B Reserve side as they did not forfeit 3 B Reserves matches the previous year (as they were in A Grade).

Well if that's the case I see them and Mount Lawley dropping to the B grade in 2016. They won't be able to field a competitive side all year and then when injuries and cold weather hit the dogs will be doomed... As of the Hawks, was at the game today down buzzacott. One of the most shocking losses I have seen in the A grade for sometime; mt lawley in trouble at this early stage. No key ins from last year and players stopped to a walk against a rampant CBC who will be top 2. They really had a point to prove after a poor finals showing in 2014 and didn't they let the hawks have it- too good in all facets of the game.
Mt lawley no team structures and the last half was like a training drill - my under 15s would have put on a better show than them! The magpies will give them a touch up next week and then they will take on the Lynch mob. Trouble for the hawks and relegation back to the B grade seems likely considering they will be 0-3. How did the other games go, looked like some close ones around...not much more in regards to this game, the Hawks lucky to not lose by 150 points tells by nearly 40 scoring shots to 8.
U heard it here first.. Next week predictions:
Magpies by 4 goals over Hawks
West Coast over Kala by 3 goals
North beach to get into the winners circle by 5 goals
TaS in a close one over Wesley curtin
CBC to show uni Tony Danza by about 7/8 goals

Whilst a 95 point defeat in round one,is a concern it does not mean relegation is by any means a likely outcome. After starting the 2014 year and being 1/4 (with an average losing margin of 50 points) last year ML came good and nearly made the finals. Conversely in 2014 it looked all year like CBC were just going through the motions (16&2)and the Premiership was a formality. Uni were no standouts during the home and away (12&6) and knew how to win when it mattered. CBC went out in straight sets. Big early wins will do nothing this year for CBC. Winning the hard close matches against the other top 4 sides is what it will all be about.

It looks like North Beach will be very strong again with their narrow loss to Wesley in the League and what from the results at least, appears to suggest is also a very strong reserves side.

Big Al, I popped into Charles Riley to catch the last quarter after being at 2 other venues during the day watching from the grandstand.

I may have inadvertently influenced the result as when I arrived NB were 14 points up and seemed to be holding Uni at bay only for Uni's long haired tall utility player to be the difference, in taking some telling last quarter marks and he may have even palmed the ball to the nuggety rover from a throw in for him to kick the sealer with 50 seconds to go. Another example of Uni just knowing how to win. Luke Dwyer is some Coach.

Kelmscott forfeiting the magoos, yet winning the One's certainly raises some interest., partcularly when Kalamunda is not all that far away, according to Google maps. How they go with a road trip will be interesting.

Heard from a mate today who plays for Kelmscott that they struggled to get one team together let alone 2. Their A grade team was scrambled together and had 3/4 players who played E3 all last year and a number of reserves players and he said it was one of the worst teams they had fielded for a few years and it wouldn't win a game in C grade with the team and they were very surprised to beat Kalamunda. He doesn't think they will get a reserves side together at all this year.
