Interested to know how many Amateur clubs allow Country League signed players to train with them & even play scratch matches?

1. Training with their club if the players are originally from there?

2. Allowing any players to train with club?

3. Not allowing these players at your club full stop?

What are the risks?

What are the benefits?

There are two schools of thought with some clubs allowing past players to train with them & bringing a few others as well.
The club may score players in the future for themselves.
Bar takings may grow?

Other clubs just saying a big flat out no as the players left them or it runs the risk of them poaching for the country club?

This year has seen a few clubs taking differing points of view and I am interested in your opinions or experiences?

One club refused to allow country team to train with them if they didn't pay some $$ for insurance

Happened in the past at our club. Often would have 3 or 4 play in the sratchy and gives you false hopes. Better off seeing what your own list can do.

We allow country players from the club our new coach came from to train with us, on the condition that they purchase a social membership.

Thats pretty reasonable Blue. Most players have to train somewhere and as long as they are just training/drinking at your bar it should be fine.
