Interesting game vs Thornlie, mate.

We came out of the blocks well and controlled the first quarter and a half having a 7-goal to 2-goal lead. Then we went to sleep at the end of the 2nd, and for the entire 3rd term letting Thornlie kick 8 of the next 9-goals to have a 10-goal to 8-goal lead at 3/4 time. Last term saw us finally click into gear and run away comfortable winners. Having a bloke go down in the first with ribs, and a bloke breaking his leg in the 2nd, we did very well to come back from that..

BIG game this week at Jubilee vs Basso. They beat us two weeks ago, but have been shown up on the weekend vs Carlisle. With a few key long term injuries to our side, we will be relying on the blokes who come in to do very well. Backing ourselves though, as always. We beat Basso at Basso earlier in the year and will be loving being the hunters this week. This old man will have his fingers crossed, and will go hard for one last tilt at a flag!

Carlisle well deserved Grand Finalists. Best side all year and will enjoy C1 next season. GO into the Granny as massive favourites no matter who they come up against.

On a side note - any tips for the F&B for the grade?

Obviously a few from Carlisle will poll well.. The FF, couple of the mids.. Basso have a couple of silky players. The CHF from Thornlie gets talked about a bit - tho can't remember him getting too many kicks on the weekend.. One or two of our guys always catch the eyes of the umpires.

Basso are not in GF yet! Carlisle smashed basso on the weekend & ARE in GF so would have to be favorites to win!

I think basso must have had one of those days against Carlisle. With the amount of player talent they have, I don't think they will be losing if they turn up against Carlisle. Hence it's theirs to lose!

You got to get to the dance before you can win it. Talent counts for shit if your sitting in the stands on grand final day watching other teams play
