We all wondered what was going on after the game, bit of a fiasco really! Shame to see the better team lose due to 50s and discipline, round 2 against baysie we gave them 100 meters and a goal and just laughed it off, good thing we've changed as a club when it comes to things like that. Our umpiring was pretty spot on, only complaint we had was a really late hit which turned into blood rule, but nothing was done because neither umpire saw anything, like the guy punched himself in the head..

We'll a couple of good games on the weekend with Melville just scrapping in with the win due to coobys discipline , besides that it was a tough fight between the 2

The safetybay vs bayswater was a great game but the bay's midfield was to strong and fast for them with the great run out of the back line bayswaters star forward didn't really get much of the ball and moved in the middle were he still struggled to find the footy . safetybay got a comfortable 30 point win

Coolbellup V Melville

Coolbellup began well and looked a class above Melville but the Rams kept plodding away and kept in touch with the Cats. The Rams got great service from their giant ruckman . The Cats with their pace far superior skill always looked like they were going to blow the game away but Melville kept at it and waited for the inevitable to happen which it did in the last term with the game on the line Coolby imploded with some silly undisciplined acts costing them the game with Melville just getting over the line by 2 points to advance to week two of the finals.

Safety Bay V Bayswater

This game was clearly a cut above the Elimination final in class and skill. Bayswater jumped out well and took an early lead and their skill full running game looked to be a handful for Safety Bay. The Stingers composed and their tough nut midfielders took control of the game as Bayswaters speedy midfielders could not find space on the short thin confines of Safety Bays home ground. Safety Bays forwards were dangerous and took great advantage of The Blues slow back line to kick a winning score. Bayswaters much vaunted full forward was completely out classed by The Stingers full back who continually rebounded the ball. Safety Bays Safety Bay increased their lead at each quarter to run out 5 goal victors to March into the second semi showdown with Roleystone.
