Wow wee ,what a dramatic day yesterday in C3!
Ellenbrook threw a massive cat amongst the pigeons by giving a hapless Ballajura their biggest loss of the year and therefore setting up an intriguing final round next Saturday while Swan View will be kicking themselves for not getting over the line in the last 2 weeks against the top 2 teams and therefore leaving the door ajar for the Eels to claim 5th spot with Swan View having the bye next week.
Kenwick confirmed top spot and with Ballajura losing plenty of percentage it seems Dianella will hold 2nd as long as they don't lose to Ballajura next week by more than 5 goals. But thats where it gets interesting!
3rd spot and the double chance is still not settled.
If Ballajura lose and Brentwood beat Ellenbrook then Brentwood can snatch 3rd and the double chance. But if the Eels get up then they will take on Brentwood at Brentwood the following week in an elimination final. That would also see Dianella and Ballajura play against each other in consecutive weeks
Will be very interesting to us at Swan View what type of performance Brentwood put up!
C'mon you Bulldogs!

On our contest against Kenwick ,without seeing some parts of the game,it looked like a very physical game.
Some solid hits from both teams,a yellow card to each team and some very average umpiring from both umpires.
Kenwick were a couple of goals up for most of the day and pushed the lead out to 21 points at 3qtr time. Swan view came hard and had most of the play in the last qtr but couldn't get over the top of Kenwick. Both teams looked shot after the final siren and it was a great tussle.

Not a good day down at cockburn for manning just wanst a good game of football. They were not switched on at the start at that showed in the rest of the game. The last was better from manning but to late but at the end of the day cockburn were just the better side on the day and manning need to do a lot better if they are going to get a win this week againest east fremantle. To top the day off there was fight when the siren went it wasnt good when you see the cockburn manager jumping into the fight and trying to fight manning players. I hope something is done about that because that is not on. But on a good note well done to cockburn on their pink day it look like it was well run and there were a lot of people their supporting the club.

Well well well, that has thrown a cat amongst the pigeons, once again ellenbrook have handed us a wild card and once again whitey will be asking for his carton!

Ellenbrooks 12 goal mauling of Ballajura has definitely livened up round 18 in C3!!! Would love read a write up about the game.

Brentwood made light work of east Fremantle, it was close in the first quarter, east held a 1 goal advantage at the first change, from there it was all brentwood, we had a 10 goal second quarter and a 10 goal second half. I think east only scored 1 goal after quarter time. It was good to get a bit of confidence up and use a bit more of a free flowing style of football, obviously this week vs ellenbrook at the kennel is now huge. It is basically ellenbrooks grand final, they win they play finals, they lose and that is it for league in 2014. Just to add a bit more spice if DM can manage to beat Ballajura, we have a chance at 3rd spot which I thought was out of reach once we lost to Kenwick! So we will do everything possible to give ourselves a crack at the double chance!

Good win by the Eels @ Coolamon winning 18.10 to 4.4. Pretty sure you picked Balla by 8 goals Bulldog so that's a 21 goal difference. We are really looking forward to this weekends trip to Brentwood & hope that the effort from Saturdays game can continue. It'll mean little unless we make the top five so here's to a massive week ahead. We've been written off all year & given hardly any respect so hopefully our playing group can earn some on Saturday. Can't wait, go Eels.

what a great day for footy it was perfect conditions barely any wind and everything to play for.

both reserves sides started off a little slowly with only 3 goals scored in the first quarter 2 to swan view and 1 to Kenwick but the intensity was there from the get go both teams attacking the ball hard. the scores started going through in the second without any drop in intensity you could see both teams players were starting to drain from the heat and the pace but neither side would back down the half time score was 4.2-26 to 5.3-33 Kenwick's way. I didn't see much of the second half but from what I heard the intensity didn't go away with a number of players breaking down. our boys held on and took the win by 9 points. swan views reserves are now out of the finals and get to watch next weekend hoping our reserves can knock Cockburn's percentage down so they can sneak in.

the league was played in much the same fashion with both teams attacking and defending hard. we got out to a 2 goal lead in the first scores being 1.1 to 3.2 the second quarter was a shootout which really isn't what we wanted but we managed to go shot for shot with them going into the half still leading by 2 goals 5.5 to 7.3. after the break there was renewed attack on the ball and although there was a little push and shove here and there nothing major broke out for the most part. a huge hit from one of the swan view players on one of our mids spurred them on but by then we had opened up a lead and finished the third 4 goals up scores being 7.5 to 11.3. this set up a dramatic last quarter. swan view came out with a purpose knowing that their season would possibly be on the line they kicked a couple of quick goals to put the pressure on to us to start winning some footy. we kicked a goal to steady the ship a little but as the scoring shots show in the last quarter they kicked 3.6 to our 1 goal with us managing to just hold on to a 4 point win.

as with their reserves this means that swan view are hoping Brentwood can halt a resurgent Eels to maintain their 5th spot.

a cracker of a weekend coming is on the cards. it's exciting stuff
