Interesting day down at Karoonda, full credit to Cockburn who really came to play, started in the ressies where they got the jump on our boys who were trying to keep finals hopes alive and got out to a big lead and managed to keep it all day and finish with a big win.

In the league it was a close contest all day, Brentwood really keep Cockburn in the game by their wayward kicking and could have been 6 goals up at half time. As it was we weren’t and Cockburn kept fighting all day, they had a few players double up so when scores were tied at three quarter time we knew if we kept working hard we would run over the top of them and that is exactly what we did.

Important to keep winning at this time of year but mostly we need to improve goal kicking! To have 27 scoring shots to 16 and only win by couple goals! Can’t afford to do that in closer games!

Interesting result for DM vs Swanview, anyone have a write up for us? Have DM peaked too early?

The Raiders beat Swan View by a single point. Great comeback and good spectacle for our past players who enjoyed a superb day and night. Swan View were impressive and unlucky on the day.

Down at james miller the rippers versed Kenwick and all I can say is that the Rippers fought it out well and the effort was there if the group stays together success ccan only be close for these boys.

I agree Bilbo, they kept pushing us right till the last siren and had patches of damaging football though these were scattered. if they start their game against Cockburn well and get their confidence up early they could be a real threat.

from what I saw of cockburn on the week end manning will have no chance, hotdogs will gobble everything up and their attack on the ball will outwork manning

Last time the rippers played cockburn they started off well but they went to sleep after the 3q.
