Some Big results coming out of last week,
Basso smashing Thornlie
Carlisle and Canningvale winning easily
Noranda Big Winners
Surprise of the round Cooly easily accounting for Mossie ( 3 umpires again?? )

This week should be a ripper of a round again

Coolbinia to continue winning form over the Valley
Basso to beat Snesa 15 goals +
Carlisle too strong for Warnbro
Cannivale v Noranda ( Not sure on this Noranda seem to be getting back to early season form ) You would have to go with the dominant C1 Bound Canningvale.
Thornlie should bounce back after a disappointing loss last week
( Although Mossie are capable of pulling out all stops to win )

Good luck to all Clubs

What's the go with Swan Valley?? There Ressies beat Carlisle (carlisles 3rd loss of the year) but there league only manage 8 points on the board all game.

The guy on here from Swan Valley last week saying that they have only had one player from League go to twos must be kidding himself yeah? Either that or the League coach doesn't know his best 22 from his worst

tough year ... we had no league players drop down on the weekend to play ressies at all so no not kidding himself. Feel free to check the team sheets. 2 or 3 of the players hadn't played reserves all year. I think 1 or 2 have played a couple of league games at best.

We had to forfeit out thirds due to the amount unavailable. We played around 11 colts in league on the weekend and will keep giving them game time. In a year or 2 the fruit will ripen. Ask Carlisle about their kids from a couple years ago and Canning vale for that matter. Just have to keep backing them in and we will :)

Pack Crusher no players went down into the ressies to boost the team last saturday, all ressies players have been playing all year (just as viper wrote). last week against canning vale only the one ruck man went down to ressies and then played league

Valley had 3 young colts come in for their first game of the year in C2 footy after playing colts earlier in the day.
this late in the season many injuries to key players have taken its toll. we have been without our captain for many games who is easily in our best 2 or 3 players.

during the game lost our key full forward to a shoulder injury and a few players went down with soft tissue injuries which gave the bench one rotation.

as Viper said 11 colts aged players played league footy with 8 starting on the field in key positions and the colts who doubled up started on the bench.

Carlisle were very good around the stoppages always having a sweeper line of players ready to rebound any attack we could muster. deserved to win.

Ok ok you might be right, I did hear tonight that Carlisle had a lot of league players out this week so a lot of there ressies had to go up to cover, this could be the reason for such a defeat in the twos

Carlisle played best 22 available in both Senior Teams against Swan Valley, The Valley Reserves simply outplayed Carlisle ( nothing more to be said ).

Cooly @ Mossie Park

Trying to come up with the words to put last week’s results nicely and not be biased is going to be tough. Because for a team looking at finals around the corner... Mossie Park just didn't seem to rock up.
CWP def. MP by – 34 points
Cooly colts have quite the head of steam at the moment, with the outside possibility of that F word looming, and never looked like giving Mossie Park a chance in this one. Absolutely shocking conditions throughout and Cooly played them better.
CWP def. MP by – 92 points
The reserves result was surprising given the 2 sides played out an entertaining draw last time they met. Cooly were peppering the goals in the first quarter for a return of just 1 goal but from the 2nd quarter onwards, as soon as the conditions started to dry out, Mossie Park struggled against Coolys run and had zero answers, as Cooly dominated all aspects of the game and only allowed Mossie Park 1 goal for the 4 quarters.
CWP def. MP by – 23 points
League game was a bit of a blow out in the first quarter, 6 goals to 1 Coolys way. Cooly continued their good form in the second with 3 goals, only for Mossie Park to peg back 2 late goals, the second of which was a controversial free kick on the half time siren and the resulting 50m (looked like 70m) penalty gave them a sniff. After the long break, Mossie Park came out a different team and the game evened up with both sides going goal for goal, with Cooly narrowly winning the quarter to extend their lead at the final break. The last quarter can only be described as a fast. Cooly didn’t trouble the big sticks and when seeming to run out of legs, Mossie Park lifted with their 23rd man doing more than his part along the way.
I am aware that the issue with this umpire has been brought up on this forum before so im not going to harp on about it, but I find it hard to disagree with any of the previous comments given the ridiculous sideshow that he put on in the final term.
3 votes though must go to the Mossie Park canteen for their toasted sandwiches which warmed up many players and supporters in the wet and windy conditions!! Not quite up to the standard of SNESA’s burgers, but they were mighty fine!!
