Before we start let us acknowledge how angry MrM gets when people don't reply to his B Grade Topic, have a look....
Round 15 in B Grade and MrM knows some things are certainties.
North Fremantle Wembley and Scarborough will all play finals...Certain
Willetton will be relegated (barring another team being found to pay players and earn a reprieve like they did in 2013)...Certain
Unless things have changed from last time around Hamersley Carine will not be serving Hot Chips for MrM and his crew on Saturday...Certain
With those things certain let's get stuck into Round 15 as we still have two finals spots on the line for those in contention.
Willetton v Maddington @Burrendah Reserve
Last time they met
Maddington 7.17 (59) defeated Willetton 4.6 (30)
Well Willetton can still win their remaining 4 games of the season, it will mean little as they are absolutely no chance to avoid relegation and will be playing for pride for the remainder of the season. A win is still important for Maddington as they aren't clear of relegation themselves, win here with results going the right they could find themselves in the Top 5 by Saturday night, lose and it won't be good. Should be a nicely contested game and I think Maddington will grab the win here.
Maddington by 3 goals
Bullcreek Leeming v Wembley @Beasley Park
Last time they met
Wembley 14.16 (100) defeated Bullcreek Leeming 4.12 (36)
Bullcreek are teetering on the brink of relegation and a loss this weekend could see their fate and take the tumble back down to C Grade for 2015. A win could restore some life back into them as they try and avoid the drop but they come up against a quality Wembley side. Wembley will be coming off last weekends draw, looking to make amends for some inaccurate kicking. They play the bottom two teams in the next 2 weeks, so they will need a percentage boost to climb over Scarborough and finish second. Wembley to win here
Wembley by 4 goals
Hamersley Carine v Wanneroo @Carine Open Space
Last time they met
Wanneroo 16.7 (103) defeated Hamersley Carine 10.7 (67)
Currently Hamersley have a lock on 5th place in the ladder but they have 3 teams below them all looking to jump into that position if they slip up. They play all teams looking to finish in the finals in the last 4 rounds so game will be an easy win. Wanneroo are one of those teams looking to finish in 5th position and will need to win all of those games to guarantee a finals berth. They also play teams looking to make finals in the next 4 games so wins will be crucial. A win for Wanneroo here would mean the race for 5th spot is alive, a loss can mean it's all over. Wanneroo to get an away win here.
Wanneroo by 2 goals
North Fremantle v Kelmscott @Gil Fraser Oval MOTR
Last time they met
Kelmscott 9.10 (64) defeated by North Fremantle 10.9 (69)
Well with this match being the only match between sides in the top 5 I have decided to award this game MrM's Match of the Round.
It's clear to everyone that North Freo are the team to beat in B Grade this season. Only losing the two games so far and have good players all over the ground, they are on track to finish 1st and earn a first round finals bye and a home game in week two of the finals. They just need to fine tune their game plan and ensure complacency doesn't creep in. Kelmscott have played good football this season to see them sitting 4th on the ladder but face some strong opposition to hang onto that spot in the remaining 4 games of the season. This should be a good game, with both teams having plenty to play for. North Freo at home might be too strong here.
North Freo by 2 goals
Collegians v Scarborough @Dalkieth Oval
Last time they met
Scarborough 14.11 (95) defeated Collegians 8.7 (55)
Well King Pig told us Collegians may struggle in the coming weeks with player numbers down I didn't realise things were that bad they had to forfeit two games through the club last weekend. Not to sure how many teams in B Grade forfeited a Reserves game but that's what happened last weekend. That being said it's past players day at Collegians this weekend, so that may spur them on, because if recent results are anything to go by they won't be playing finals. Scarborough claim they were hard done by with a draw last weekend, so what better what to rectify the result than having a big win here this weekend. I think they can and they should register a win here.
Scarborough by 5 goals
Good luck to all this weekend, reminder it's Red Arm Band Round in the WAAFL this weekend an important message for all involved.
The WAAFL will embrace the concept on Saturday 26th July. The red arm band symbolises Earth-Blood-Life; we come from different places but we are all the same.
Those wearing a red arm band will have committed to zero tolerance of vilification, no abuse, and an understanding that ‘we are all the same’.
