Well it seems as though the results have gone the way most of us expected. Kelmscott smashed Willetton, Maddingtton just over Bullcreek, Scarborough and Wembley shared the honours, Wanneroo weren't good enough against North Freo and Hamersley made sure of it against Collegians.

It's not often that MrM doesn't bounce out of bed in the morning ready to tackle the day ahead but Saturday was that day. MrM stumbled out of bed rubbed his eyes and realised it's only 5.30am. So it was time to watch some Seinfeld before getting ready. What a fun life that yours truly leads, it's definitely satisfying.

MrM has again heard some people are asking "Who is this mysterious man that people are always talking about? And what does this man look like?" Well because of MrM's popularity and fame, nobody casts a bigger shadow over Wanneroo than MrM, his presence at a game of football usually leads the ladies to flock and sit in awe of this great man. Enough about me though, I'll talk about the football now.

I arrived just in time to catch the first ball up of our second colts side. It's fair to say it was very much a mismatch between these two sides. University was quite good, although Wanneroo started well they were up against a much bigger and stronger side and ended up losing.

Our reserves were in the same boat against North Fremantle. Although Wanneroo started well it was all one way for North Freo who are a well drilled unit and they dominated the contest. They are a class act and it's no surprise they enquired about the services of MrM to make them an even stronger unit, I turned down the offer though as I could play country football and not travel as far to North Freo every week. They were a very good team, easily the best reserves side in the competition. Let's hope Wanneroo reserves can finish the season off strongly.

It was time for the league game and Wanneroo like the teams before them jumped out of the blocks. They kicked the first 3 goals of the game and were leading 5 goals to 2 at quarter time. After a good start the Wanneroo boys were up and about and kicked the forts two goals of the second quarter which was right when North Freo kicked into gear. They kicked the next 5 goals to have a slight lead by half time.
I thought to myself that Wanneroo usually comes out firing after half time so I was looking forward to see what they had to offer but it was all one way traffic from North Freo, who put their foot down and showed everyone why they are the best side in the competition, I think they kicked about 8-9 goals in a row and never looked back. They were 6 goals ahead at three quarter time and it was the same margin at the end of the game. North Freo will probably end up in the Grand Final and they deserve it. It all just depends who they will play. Wanneroo can still be relegated and they can still play finals, a few interesting weeks coming up, I think they can slide into 5th spot.

The colts game that was played under lights was again one way traffic in favour of North Freo. Wanneroo didn't kick a goal till the last quarter in an otherwise disappointing effort from the players involved but I'm sure the young players will continue to learn and develop.

Only 4 rounds left till we reach finals. The question on everybody's lip is if Wanneroo isn't playing will MrM still attend a game and enjoy himself? #WatchthisSpace
