Round 14 shapes as a big one in WAAFL B Grade. All of the games have a major bearing on what the ladder can look like at the end of the season. A few 8 point games could mean the difference between a home final or playing finals or avoiding relegation. I'm definitely looking forward to 5pm Saturday so we can find out all the results. Let's take a look at what MrM thinks of all these games.

Hamersley Carine v Collegians @Carine Open Space
Last time they met
Collegians 6.6 (42) defeated by Hamersley Carine 16.5 (101)

Hamersley have fallen outside the Top 5 but only on percentage so this game against Collegians is massive. A win here and they could see themselves back in the 5, a loss and they will fall down the pecking order and could sit as low as 8th. Collegians are in the same boat, a win could see them back in the top 5 and a loss they could fall down the ladder. Based on what King Pig says Collegians may be in for a tough time with numbers being an issue whilst kids are on holidays, I would have tipped Hamersley regardless.

Maddington v Bullcreek Leeming @Harmony Fields
Last time they met
Bullcreek Leeming 15.11 (101) defeated Maddington 12.11 (83)

Well this game will go a very long way to determining who could be relegated in season 2014. Maddington still have a chance for finals if they win here, but a loss can put them just outside the relegation zone. Bullcreek have their backs against the wall and need a win or they can nearly kiss B Grade goodbye. I'm sure this will be a tough physical game with both sides season on the line and it will go down to the wire. Maddington will be very hard to beat at home, but I think Bullcreek can do it, especially if big Fraser is firing like he had done in the past few weeks.

Wembley v Scarborough @Henderson Park MOTR
Last time they met
Scarborough 6.6 (42) defeated by Wembley 7.13 (55)

Well ladies and gentlemen it's no surprises that Wembley v Scarborough is this weeks selection for Mr Mysterious' MATCH OF THE ROUND. Why you all ask, well it's no secret that a home final is on the line. Wembley sit third but only on percentage, and they are the highest scoring team in the competition, Scarborough will need to stop Tim Noakes (B Grade leading goal scorer) and the Wembley midfield if they are any chance to win. Scarborough also have a weapons in which Wembley will need to stop. A win here is vital for both sides especially if North Freo slip up, top spot is still up for grabs. I think Wembley will get the job done.

Kelmscott v Willetton @John Dunn Memorial Park
Last time they met
Willetton 9.9 (63) defeated by Kelmscott 9.15 (69)

Kelmscott need to keep winning to ensure they can get a home final because we all know they are a much better team at home. Not yo sure they can make the ground up to finish third for a double chance so finishing 4th and a home final should be a goal. Willetton's season is over, can't play finals and if they lose here they will definitely be relegated. Always a slim chance they can stay up and football is a funny game, but they should play the young kids here getting them ready for next year.
Kelmscott by 6 goals

Wanneroo v North Fremantle @The Showgrounds
Last time they met
North Fremantle 15.9 (99) defeated Wanneroo 6.4 (40)

Wanneroo are up and about after two victories, but if they play like they have in the last two weeks they will get punished by a very good North Freo team. It's past players day at Wanneroo so should be a good crowd along with 4 games at The Showgrounds I expect big things. North Freo are flying and are on track to earn a rest in week 1 of the finals. I'm sure they won't be resting on their laurels come Saturday as this should be another tough physical game, especially of the heavens open up at the mud pit. Wanneroo can cause an upset here.

Good luck to all this weekend, stay dry and stay out of trouble. MrM is looking forward to catching up with fellow past players on Saturday and reminisce about the good ole days.

Also we only have 5 weeks left, so no better time than now to sign up and join in the fun with MrM, you may even find yourself on the end of season party list. Should we go international or stay local....you decide

Carine (by a lot)
BCL - 5 goals
Scabs - 1 goal MOTR
Kelmscott - 5 goals
Nth Freo - 8 goals

Predict a Nth Freo vs. Scarborough grand final, both teams would be sick of being in B grade (especially Scarborough who have been there for a few years now).

Good tips Dirk Diggler.
Wembley have also been in B Grade a while and I'm sure a former A Grade powerhouse like themselves will want to get back. It will be interesting to see who does reach the Grand Final, time will tell.
