Got me a bit confused here boys, no need to tell the whole group maybe just the nollamara boys, threatening to rip ones head off and see em in the car park after the game whilst your son is giving away a 100m penalty... Probably not required. Then telling them next pack I'm breaking your jaw c... Also not required, understand why they do it, but recon they better off just hiting the ball hard then talking shit whilst watching from the outskirts hopping for one to spill out the back! Any way they got the four points no probs, we regroup and meet balla in a couple weeks... Apologies if my comments hit a nerve, may have been too close to the truth?

KGB kid, contact in a contact sport is to be expected, and I love playing hard footy, which is why I have been playing this game for many years, but dirty tactics? Cheap shots, high contact... No time for it. And to be fair I didn't think the threats were carried out, was a clean physical game, was just commenting that intimidation was used as opposed to hitting the footy hard, which I recon would probably help them more in the long run, wasn't complaining just stating that it won't hold up in finals!

Cockburn v Swan View game
Swan view ressies jumped our boys in the first qtr and led by 5 goals at qtr time. we fought back after that and only a goal or 2 in it in the end.

League game was close all day. Swan view getting the fist goal inside the first minute but we led at qtr time and half time. Swan view hit the lead in the 3rd and i think were a goal up at 3 qtr time with both sides kicking 2 goals in the last qtr to see us go down by 7 points ... the same margin as round 1 ! Garlett coming from AFL list to 5th grade amateurs was well held, played forward all game and was kept to 11 possies and 1 or 2 goals. As the game went on he was more interested in fighting everyone than getting the footy

Unlucky on the loss bloodycold1, sounded like a good contest all day across the 2 grades. Did you have a matchup in mind for Dayle, or were there a few different opponents throughout the day? Did he appear unfit or just disinterested? Keen on your thoughts as we have them this week.

we had someone ready to run with him in the midfield, and a guy to take him when he went forward. surprised he spent the whole game forward. Started on fire setting the first goal up, is quick off the mark and remind your blokes he's a left footer. From the ground it seemed like he was arguing with his own crowd during the game so wouldn't be surprised if he didn't play this week

Bulldog - I think those things get said a lot from every team in all competitions from time to time and it would just be heat of the moment type stuff. I didn't see any dirty tactics, cheap shots or deliberate high contact out there. Bit unfair to single out one situation, 100m was given, Brentwood kicked the goal so how about just leave it at that instead of trying to make a big deal out of it?

Sticks - Where were you sitting when you watched the game on Saturday? The balcony, otherside of the oval or back pocket in the league side?

I agree as stated, don't think threats were carried out, I didn't make a big deal just stated intimidation wont hold out in finals, the big deal was made by the three reply's, anyway had no baring on the end result, good game, cant wait to verse another top 5 team in a couple weeks!

without seeing how he has played since he pulled out of the AFL, but at c3 i still wouldnt take Dayle lightly, if the kid turns up on the day ready to play footy, i dare say he could tear the game open on his own at that level.
good luck to the kid, if he finds the passion for footy again playing with family then good on him.
not everyone can deal with or wants the public life regardless of how good they are at something
