Well as it seems, C4 has become somewhat non-existent on this website I tried earlier n the year but gave up after seeing the responses to my posts. Nevermind though, considering the fact that every other grade has a Mid Season review, I may as well do our review, starting from bottom to top.

KWINANA - 10th
Current Record: 1W-8L
Best Victory: Round 5 V Rossmoyne by 14 pts
Worst Loss: Round 2 V Cottesloe by 78 pts

It's been a tough first season for Kwinana, they play decent football, but just havent't clicked well enough to match it with the seasoned regulars of this competition. It started out with beltings from Cottesloe and Southern River, but now have slowly pegged back to closer defeats and reasonable scorelines. Can they deliver in the next half of the season and get off the bottom of C4?

ROSSMOYNE - 9th
Current Record: 1W-8L
Best Victory: Round 8 V Jandakot by 22 pts
Worst Loss: Round 9 V Secret Harbour by 72 pts

Much like Kwinana, Rossmoyne have ventured into C4 with dire results. I fully believe though that they are the more competitive between the 2 as have only lost back to back games by 3 points against much tougher competition. When we played them, The conditions were horrible and we didn't really start to control the game until after half time. These boys are ones not to be underestimated and are a much better team than what their position shows. They will move up the ladder but unfortunately wont make a finals berth this year.

JANDAKOT - 8th
Current Record: 2W-7L
Best Victory: Round 7 V Kwinana by 16 pts
Worst Loss: Round 2 V Secret Harbour by 91 pts

I predicted that Jandakot were on the up this year and would contend a top 3 spot, but boy have I been wrong so far. I don't know what's happening down at the Jetters, whether it's injuries, FIFO workers or form, I just know it's currently not happening for them. Started off the year with 2 massive beltings from Southern River and Secret Harbour and they have yet to recover percentage wise. They got closer than they have been to a victory against Cottesloe away, but haven't found the form they would need to play finals this year, well at least at League level...

OSBOURNE PARK - 7th
Current Record: 4W-5L
Best Victory: Round 9 V Kwinana by 55 pts
Worst Loss: Round 5 V Southern River by 72 pts

Here is another side I predicted that would play finals this year and go deeper than previous seasons. So far, it hasn't played out that way for the Saints. The next 3 games for them are shaping up to be very winnable games to put them at 7W-5L and in a nice position to play finals... until the following 3 games after that, playing 1st, 3rd and 4th. If they can win at least 1 of those games, surely they will round out the top 5.

COBRAS - 6th
Current Record: 5W-4L
Best Victory: Round 2 V Kwinana by 37 pts
Worst Loss: Round 9 V Southern River by 39 pts

The surprise packet of C4 this year. After years of being the cellar dwellars of C4, this season has seen a very positive turn around for the Cobras. With impressive victories over Secret Harbour and Belmont Districts, this team can take a few pegs out of the higher placed teams and are set to shake up the ladder throughout the remainder of the season.

ARMADALE - 5th
Current Record: 5W-4L
Best Victory: Round 9 V Jandakot by 77 pts
Worst Loss: Round 8 V Southern River by 58 pts

Coming down from C3 wasn't going to be easy for the Bombers, as teams stuck in C4 were keen to get out and move on up. It somewhat has been a mediocre season for them, as some would've expected to go back up into C3 after a poor 2013 season. The only team that they have defeated above them was Secret Harbour in Round 1, which seems forever ago now. Their inability to win important games such as that have cost them and even though their W/L record shows better, it hasn't been against top C4 sides this year, and if they want to move back into C3 next season, something's gotta give.

BELMONT DISTRICTS - 4th
Current Record: 6W-3L
Best Victory: Round 1 V Kwinana by 52 pts
Worst Loss: Round 5 V Secret Harbour by 54 pts

Along with Armadale, Belmont had a disappointing 2013 season, and subsequently dropped into C4. They are in a better position of moving back into C3 than Armadale are, but 3 losses to Southern River, Secret Harbour and the Cobras have placed them in elimination contention come finals time. They will need to capitalize on their faults and misgivings if they are to obtain that spot in the GF this year and move back up and call 2013 a distant memory.

SECRET HARBOUR - 3rd
Current Record: 6W-3L
Best Victory: Round 2 V Jandakot by 91 pts
Worst Loss: Round 3 V Southern River by 39 pts

Top 3, half way through the season, impressive percentage to boot. I'd say that's a big tick in the Harbours eyes moving forward on the reverse fixture. Having been very competitive in their first season in C4 last year, they have shown yet again that they can be a dominating force in this grade. Having beaten Cottesloe and Belmont, the 2 teams that were tipped to play off in a GF this year, they will now look forward to keeping their form and making another chance to go deep into finals again.

COTTESLOE - 2nd
Current Record: 7W-2L
Best Victory: Round 3 V Kwinana by 78 pts
Worst Loss: Round 7 V Secret Harbour by 87 pts

Tipped to be the one to beat this year in C4, so far they have proven worthy of that prediction. A couple of disappointing losses to Secret Harbour and Belmont Dictricts (which also were not just defeats, but absolute beltings) have kept them off top spot. Looking forward, I don't see them dropping a whole lot, unless something major happens and derails their form. Should finish out the season top 3 at least.

SOUTHERN RIVER - 1st
Current Record: 8W-1L
Best Victory: Round 4 V Kwinana by 77 pts
Worst Loss: Round 2 V Cottesloe by 6 pts

Nobody predicted that this team would be where they are now, and that's how we like it! Only just going down to Cottesloe in Round by a kick after the siren and a 10 minute fadeout in the final term, diminished our perfect record. Not trying to sound biased, but we are in the box seat heading towards C3 next year and a rand Final win that has alluded us for so long. Our average victory margin is 48 pts, so we can score heavily when we are on song. Looking forward to the return fixture and hopefully retaining our spot on top of the ladder!

Good luck to all the teams for the remainder of the season!

Where is that filthy stinking rat from the Swampland with his 2 cents worth.Luckily for the jets there isn't a relegation from C4 where they find themselves in the slums. Maybe they should play some of their star colts in the struggling League team instead of belting the shit out of some very average colts teams most weeks.

It must be true. No excuses for our colts boys today but the Jets full fwd kicked 9 of their 11 goals.
Seriously, why would you have a bloke like that playing colts?
Interesting to see the Jets league team didn't kick a goal,I reckon he might have dobbed a few.
Was also surprised to see the jets celebrate like it was a grand final.
Flags aren't won in July boys but I guess every win means the world when your league team is in the slums of C4.

It seemed that yesterday our ressies played their league side or half of them at least. Yiu know you aren't going anywhere when your colts and reserves sides are beating teams and your league side it horrible. Ezmaple is the scoreline from our league game yesterday

Southern River - 21.12.138
Jandakot - 0.8.8

In the wet, a team that doesn't score goals isn't unheard of. But to be beaten in the rain by 130 points in the rain and only scoring 3 behinds and 5 rushed behinds is just deplorable.

Fair enough to dig the heels in - but the guys who took the field gave it there all. Scoreline wasn't a true reflection really. Even Aubrey was graceful enough to compliment our guys on at least having a crack.

I remember playing Southern River a number of times some years ago and giving them 20 goal hidings - so swings and roundabouts.

It isn't often you have (i'd estimate) 16 league guys out and with colts playing in Geraldton, we didn't have the luxury of kids doubling up. That said - numbers are not an issue - just league guys unavailable.

Tough season for League - but we are up and about off-field and our Juniors are only getting stronger as well.

DB.

Mad dog finally woke up from a long sleep did he, quicker it wasn't earlier as you didn't change your fullback after watching our ff kick the first few. Was quite enjoyable watching my full forward with a bung knee sit on your fullbacks head all morning. Funny that my players come off the ground once again saying that your players can't stand you as a coach. Prob need someone that respects them and doesn't talk to them like they are pieces of dirt and argue with them. You say we belt teams most weeks but our percentage is a lot smaller than the team that sits 1st and 3rd we change the team every week and why we win is because we play as a team and they play for each other. If you look our colts do play league football to some have played quite a few games. Also we only kicked 10 goals not 11 ;)
Lastly thanks for your hospitality up there and not bothering to shake my hand, your are a disgrace to young men trying there best to play football with each other and have a good time.

Hahaha quite a predictable reply from yourselfy swampy! A lack of grammar and most of your post being a load of wank. You must really hate me,you've hurt my feelings haha.
There is no way that kid would be playing colts at the View if the league team was getting pumped most weeks, especially with the colts having sowed up a finals spot.Maybe it's only because he has a Jandakot shirt on with "COLTS" on the back.
Plenty of respect and great comradarie at the View hence us having 6 colts aged players in the league team yesterday who are quite willing to come up and play to better themselves and the club. And was great to see all of our colts boys hanging around to support their mates in the league game as well.
With regards to shaking your hand,as I said, you blokes cleared your bench that quick to celerbrate the win that when I turned to walk over, there was no one present.
Catch you in a few weeks for what no doubt will be another cracking game.
