We are now on the back stretch for season 2014. What a close season it promises to be if the results from the first half of the season are anything to go by. Before the season had started this was my ladder for B grade

Scarborough
Bullcreek
Collegians
North Fremantle
Wembley
Maddington
Kelmscott
Wanneroo
Hamersley
Willetton

It looks like the curse of MrM has struck with Bullcreek feeling full wrath of my high expectations and not reaching where I thought they would be. I did predict a Scarborough v Bullcreek Grand Final and that could still happen but things are looking doubtful. Things are too close for me to predict anything with upsets the weekly norm. Time will tell if some teams are contenders or pretenders but it shows anybody can win any game and you can't go our and expect to win.

No point in speculating on what could happen in 2 months time thought it's about what happens now so let's get into Round 10.

Collegians v Willetton @Dalkeith Oval
Last time they met
Willetton 7.11 (53) defeated by Collegians 12.11 (83)

Well Collegians are flying at the moment as they have won their last 3 and are looking good to keep winning. Willetton are fresh off their first win and will be out to grab another here and avoid the danger of relegation. It might be a battle to avoid it, but no reason as to end they can't. I'm sure they won't stop a flying Collegians team though.
Collegians by 4 goals

Hamersley Carine v Scarborough @Carine Open Space MOTR
Last time they met
Scarborough 14.7 (91) defeated by Hamersley Carine 14.9 (93)

If last match was anything to go by this game should be a very close affair hence this is awarded MrM's Match of the Round. Hamersley are going along quite nicely without making to much noise and sit just inside the 5. The beat Scarborough at "The Mill" in Round 1 and they will have confidence to show it was no fluke. Scarborough caused a boil over last weekend defeating North Freo which moved them into second place. A few more wins and they can cement a double chance in the top 3. Scarborough to reverse and avenge the Round 1 loss.
Scarborough by 2 goals

North Fremantle v Bullcreek Leeming @Gil Fraser Oval
Last time they met
Bullcreek Leeming 11.9 (75) defeated by North Fremantle 17.12 (114)

Well Bullcreek haven't lived up to my expectations and I bet they are well below their own expectations. Sitting in relegation and losing to the previously winless Willetton isn't very good. They will need a great second half of the season just to play finals, and avoid the drop. North Freo were undefeated two weeks ago so it shows how quickly things can change. I think they will bounce back here and show why they were undefeated for 7 games.
North Freo by 4 goals

Kelmscott v Maddington @John Dunn Memorial
Last time they met
Maddington 13.15 (93) defeated Kelmscott 13.11 (89)

Kelmscott are doing well after coming up from C Grade last season and sitting I. Fourth place is always a good achievement. They are always a better side at home then they are away. Maddington would be buoyed by the fact they had a good win last weekend and away from home also. They are without Embley and Kerr this time around but with young kids from colts not looking out of place in the League side they will do alright. I did say Kelmscott were a better side at home though so I'll stick with that.
Kelmscott by 2 goals

Wanneroo v Wembley @Wanneroo Showgrounds
Last time they met
Wembley 15.8 (98) defeated by Wanneroo 16.9 (105)

We are back again with the battle of the big white V. Wanneroo were sitting 4-2 but have slipped, lost form and players and have lost the past 3 games. A young team needs to regroup and remember what they did in the first third of the season. Wembley after a slow start have heated up since then winning 6 straight but lost last weekend. This match was close to Match of the Round after a very close contested match last time I'm expecting much of the same here. Wanneroo to get back to the winners list.
Wanneroo by 1 goal

Good luck to all this weekend. For those regular readers you may all be pleased to know finding a Mrs Mysterious has taken a new turn. I may disclose more in the future.

Not sure about the transfers had a look but not to much movement in B Grade. A lot of other grades people are moving around willy nilly. Not sure what would possess somebody to move half through the season but that's a different point.

All those playing at Wanneroo Showgrounds tomorrow leave the football boots at home. My suggestion, either googles and flippers or some good old fashioned gum boots...

Collegians v Willetton @Dalkeith Oval
Last time they met
Willetton 7.11 (53) defeated by Collegians 12.11 (83)
Breaking news around the WAAFL with Collegians recruiting yet another Fremantle football club legend to playout the season. Scott "The Prince" Chisholm will be steaming out of half back this weekend. Great work Collegians.

Hamersley Carine v Subiaco Reservescarborough @Carine Open Space MOTR
Last time they met
Scarborough 14.7 (91) defeated by Hamersley Carine 14.9 (93)
The battle of the Giants (giant ovals). I like where Scarborough are at therefore I will tip Hamersley because this season has been crazy!

North Fremantle v Bullcreek Leeming @Gil Fraser Oval
Last time they met
Bullcreek Leeming 11.9 (75) defeated by North Fremantle 17.12 (114)
North Fremantle have recruited Eric the Eel to patrol the southern wing and provide inspiration to their aging members huddled under the lanterns of the grand stand.
Go the Magpies!

Kelmscott v Maddington @John Dunn Memorial
Last time they met
Maddington 13.15 (93) defeated Kelmscott 13.11 (89)
Kelmscott - Hopefully!

Wanneroo v Wembley @Wanneroo Showgrounds
Last time they met
Wembley 15.8 (98) defeated by Wanneroo 16.9 (105)
Wembley will likey have 6-7 late withdrawals due to the fact that they dont want to get their salads ruined for Saturday night. Wanneroo ferals will be in full voice with 4 games at the ground tomorrow.
