We are almost half way through season 2014 and B Grade is very much wide open. Only a few game separate the top 3 from the bottom 3 so anything can happen. MrM will provide a mid season review after this weekend, I'll look back on my lack of success in predicting the ladder before the season started.
In other news I hear on the rumour mill that some clubs MrM is yet to visit, lack Hot Chips at The Canteen. This disappoints me and I'm giving you all a warning. I don't care if you have to hire a deep frier just for one day, hand cut your own potatoes and steal some oil. Hot Chips are a must for any canteen. No Hot Chips and you can expect a savage review from yours truly.
Let's get stuck into Round 9 WAAFL B Grade action.
Willetton v Bullcreek Leeming @Burrendah Reserve
Bottom of the ladder clash between these two sides in a bit of a derby. Willetton are still yet to resister a win but all is not lost for them. I've seen sides come from their position and avoid relegation and that should be an aim for them here. Bullcreek have had a disappointing start and are another team who can turn that around. I think they should win easily here.
Bullcreek by 5 goals
Hamersley Carine v Wembley @Carine Open Space
Hamersley are coming off a surprise loss to Maddington last weekend and will be looking forward to playing at home and making a move towards the top 5. Wembley are undefeated since Round 3 as they keep beating all before them. The real test will come in the second half of the season as to whether they can keep this up. I think they should continue the streak this weekend.
Wembley by 3 goals
Collegians v Kelmscott @Dalkieth Oval MOTR
Some recent people have questioned my recent MOTR's but I think this deserves it, purely Collegians have found some good form in the last few weeks and have had a few scuffles as well, it will be interesting to see if they use the same tactic again this weekend. Kelmscott returned to the winner list last weekend with a good win over Wanneroo and are looking to cement a spot in the top 3 of the ladder. I look forward to hearing how this game goes and to whether J.Clement can back it up for another game.
Kelmscott by 2 goals
North Fremantle v Scarborough @Gil Fraser Oval
North Freo coming off their first loss of season 2014 and won't be happy with that and I expect Scarborough to cop the wrath of the magpies. The boys from "The Mill" are coming off a "Simon" against Willetton last weekend. It's a tight competition and a loss here could see them fall outside the top 5 from third place. This match was close to being match of the round for me but I went with the other game instead because I think bigger things await these two sides later in in the season.
Scarborough by 1 goal
Wanneroo v Maddington @Wanneroo Showgrounds
Wanneroo won't be happy after a few disappointing past few weeks against teams who they thought they should have beaten, but back at home they will bounce back. Maddington ruined my tipping last weekend and upset Hamersley last weekend. Not to sure what to expect here but I know the Wanneroo won't be happy unless they come away with 3 "Simons/Murrays".
Wanneroo by 3 goals
Good weather for football so let's remember to play the game in good spirits and have some fun.
