Some very interesting results in round 8

CWP getting up over Warnbro in particular, very interested to know how that played out.

Noranda and Swan Valley are in serious trouble
SNESA just looks 1 step behind the serious contenders but are now a competitive side
Canning Vale the new top dog with Carlisle still looking strong
Thornlie cruising comfortably
Basso, Mossie and CWP hitting their straps at the right time, with Warnbro the only real unknown in my opinion.

On to the predictions:

Swan Valley vs. SNESA

9 v 10 and the loser looks destined for C3 footy next year.
SNESA look to be heading in the right direction, Swan Valley look to be heading the other way. SNESA by 5 goals

Canning Vale vs. CWP
CV with 7 in a row... mark this one down for 8. CV by 10 goals

Noranda vs. Carlisle
Carlisle will want to put in a strong performance after going down last week. Look out Noranda... Carlisle by 15 goals

Mosman Park vs. Bassendean
Clear game of the round. Both teams playing good footy, Both very talented sides. Flip of the coin... Mossies at home, by a kick.

Warnbro vs. Thornlie
Warnbro need a win here if they have any chance of playing past round 18.
Warnbro by 2 goals.

Yeh sounds bouts right.

Warnbro at home with that wind pretty hard to tame, hopefully Thornlie can get up though
Snesa should get up but could be shithouse depends who rocks up and which side they decide to stack. Hear they loosing lots of players to queens park seniors
Carlisle v noranda game of the week for sure. Carlisle to do the same as they did in the grand final and keep noranda at their losing ways at moment.
Canningvale look good well structure and will make light work of CWP
mossy park v basso could go either way but with it being at the children's size ground and with their terrible umpire mossy should get up

Thornlie to win over Warnbro, think the wheels have fallen off there. If Warnbro cannot get up here then it could put a dent in their season as far as finals go, early I know but a lot of ground to make up , especially if Mossy win.

Swan Valley in a close one.
Canning Vale who are purring along nicely by about 9 goals
Carlisle by about 10 goals against the Premiership favourites in Noranda. They were made to look second rate last week. Not sure what their coach was doing but at one stage he had 3 players behind the play cant score doing that think he lost the plot. But it made good entertainment from the shed.

Bassendean over a strong Mossie by about 2 goals on the small ground. Hopefully their umpire will be neutral. Surely the Pres would of had a chat to him by now???? GOTR

There was a WAAFL official at the SNESA vs. Mosman Park game last week taking notes on the umpiring.

Apparently he umpired fairly (shit, but fair) all game, although was about 70m away from play and did nothing when a few of the reserves players tried to rough up some of SNESA's young blokes.

Not sure if itll be enough to get the tap on the shoulder. Maybe someone should just turn up with a clipboard and introduce themselves as a WAAFL official and then you might get a fair game.

Havent heard anything about SNESA losing players to Queens Park. Looking at team sheets, playing group is fairly similar to the Noranda game when they got their full forward back and started playing better footy. Hear he is out again now though? LAG?

Couple of interesting games this weekend.

Swan Valley - toss of the coin here for me. Yes, can confirm that the SNESA FF (very dangerous player) is out with a Back-Injury. Hurts SNESA's hopes of staying in C2. Good side though, and I think if he played I would have picked them.

Canning Vale - this fat boy will be coming back through the two's this week after his haul of Salmon last weekend as we take in CWP. Well done to the boys last week on getting over Carlisle in the last term. CWP beat Wanrbro last week so we won't by any means be taking them lightly.

Carlisle - will bounce back emphatically here. Noranda in all-sorts at the moment. Carlisle will push the 100 point barrier here.

Mosman Park - GOTR for me as a spot in the 5 is up for grabs. Bassendean are always dangerous, even without Yarran. Mossie Park play their home ground very well. I think Mossie will get up here simply because they are at home... JUST (I actually picked Basso and deleted my typing)

Thornlie - strong side on a roll. Warnbro will be wanting to bounce back after last weeks shock loss. Thornlie play good hard footy, with a number of silky players. Couple of goals in this one I would think.

As always, good luck to all.
Loves kicking goals, passing them off is only an option.

C2 (Colts - Laurie Keene) Premiers 2013
C3 Premiers 2012

Swan Valley. Could go easy way, Losing Harris is a big blow to SNESA so im tipping the Valley, Only just....

Canning Vale. CWP will fight all day but the class of the cougars will shine through, very impressed with the direction the Canning Vale footy club is heading.

Carlisle. What the fuck is going on down at lighting park?? Need to sort it out very quickly or they very well could find them-self's back in C3. Carlisle by lots.

Thornlie. Had a bad day against my old mob a few weeks ago but they are a classy side and bounced back nicely last week. Trip down to Warnbro is always hard but the lions by a couple of goals

Mosman Park (GOTR) The 2 sides meet again after the events of the 1st semi final of last year. I have no doubts that this game will be hard, fair and exciting to watch. Yarren back for Basso is huge but i will tip Mossies by 5 points at home.

Looking at Basso's clearance page and the Team sheet for last week, It would seem so! I'm guessing he was the Forward who kicked 10 last week Maggies?
