Ok, let’s get the banter happening again for another week, no real surprises last week, I suppose some may think Brentwood upset Kenwick, but it has just opened the premiership race right up with 5 teams currently sitting on 16 points, and in the next couple of weeks a couple of those teams are versing each other so it could sort out the top 5 and the top 3 going into the second half of the season. Some teams may be undermanned this weekend with it being a long week end and no general bye from the association, but then again, you just go to battle with the 22 you have named and expect to get the result done!



Cockburn Vs Brentwood

Cockburn coming off a heavy defeat from Balla last week and looking to try stay in touch with the top 5, coming up a confident Brentwood who took care of the ladder leaders last week at home. Great to rekindle some old “friendships” heading out to anning park, haven’t played these guys in a couple years, but do recall some not so fun times at anning park and looking forward to turning all that around this week, Brentwood by 4 goals

Swan View Vs Dianella

Swan View coming off the training drill which is Manning, winning by a comfortable 10 goals even in those awful conditions, while Dianella come in after a tough slog vs Ellenbrook. I think this may be game of the round and could define the season for either club, plenty at stake here. Both teams on 16 points so the win is vital and I can’t pick it, I think Dianella, but swan view at brown park is no easy feat... Ill stick with Swan View at home by a couple points

Kenwick Vs Rippers

Kenwick coming off a tough game vs Brentwood and slipped to 4th on the ladder, would be pretty keen to get back in the winner’s circle and this little percentage booster has come at the right time, I expect Kenwick to be back on top of the table come Sunday. Manning just need to keep plugging away and try stay in games longer. Kenwick to win by 14 goals

Easts Vs Ballajura

Easts will be fresh off the bye and looking to try get their season back on track but it doesn’t get any easier this week. Balla easily disposed of Cockburn and shouldn’t have much trouble coming up against east. Balla by 10 goals

Ellenbrook bye – some soul searching to be done down at Ellenbrook, good week end for some team bonding and having a serious discussion about what they actually want to achieve this year. There is still plenty of time left but they wouldn’t want to drift much further away from the 5 to have an impact.

Brentwood I think Cockburn will give it every think at home to stay in touch with the top five but I think the dogs are in really good form and will have to much bite for the warriors and get the four points


Dianella. Dianella have a few out this week but that's no excuse it's amateurs I think if there indigieous players come to play and light up the stage for indigieous round I think they'll get the win in a very tough game but i wouldn't write off the swan view boys they seem to be ticking over nicely GOTR for me !


Kenwick. kenwick would of been stewing all week about the game that got away last week having a few out must of left a few gaps and ruined there perfect run so I think they'll bounce back really hard and get the percentage there looking for !


Ballajura I think east will throw every think but the kitchen sink at the royals and playing at home will work to there advantage and being nice and fresh from the bye but I think the royals will just get the better of them in the last quarter with there old school balla skills !! easts won't be to far away from a win they'll nab four points off any one who comes to play them and thinks it will be a walk in the park !


Ellenbrook bye Eels are like a big v8 engine with plenty potential waiting to happen I know they'll come good soon and get back up in the top five and play finals !! Well good luck to every one !!!

it's an even race with the top 5 all on the same points. although two of them have yet to have their bye. will anyone seperate themselves from the pack?

Cockburn have always been a different animal when playing at home but i think Brentwood will be too much for them to control

Swan view V Dianella
both teams have started well to be equal first with the whole top 5. haven't played Swan view but i think Dianella will show their class to get over the top

Kenwick v Manning
first loss for us last weekend and we are hoping to get back on the winners list in a big way.

East Fremantle v Ballajura
East will put up a valiant effort as they have all year but i think Balla will get over the line.

Whitey has been dodging write ups like Jack Reiwoldt dodged the media last week. He's been heavily involved since i've been on here until now. Ellenbrook have also always been up and about til now, coincidence?? I think not. Come on mate, we all know you love a write up, show something win or lose (it could be what gets your boys season around ). I'll have the same tips as well.

east freo over ballaz. Going for an upset. East are alot better than the ladder shows and play their oval well. east by 1 point

Whitey might be quite because he is still fuming over the carton I owe him from 2007 when they beat kingsway!
