This is a great post.
Noranda very confident not so long ago. 3 straight losses, 2 against good teams (floggings),1 against a struggling team. My view is that they got too confident too early..
Surely a few of there so called superstars can give us some insight?

Ok I play down at the Hawks and I think I speak for everyone when I say that the 2 big mouths that set our club in a bad light and are clear fence sitters in the bigger scheme of things need to man up and be accountable for this wrong image they have given of our proud club..This false image of our club has embarrassed and frustrated the senior playing group, all coaches and all comity members down at the club and there is nothing more we would like to do than to find whoever is responsible for this issue.

The truth is the club has come a long way and has every reason to be proud with making our step up from the Sunday mercantile league in 2011 with only the the 3 teams consisting of leagues reserves and 3rds and receiving a swift wake up call in terms of the difference in standards coming into the ammos and battling through a season that only saw the top side win a handful of games.

Based on that the club reset and recruited well and also entered our inarugural colts side . 2012 was undoubtedly the big year for the club taking out the C4 league premiership and also grabbing the E3 flag with our 3rds side. The club was also named club of the year throughout the whole WAAFL competition which was one of our most prized achievements. This clearly attracted interest in players from other clubs and last year saw another successful year which saw 3 of the 4 club sides play off in respective grand finals namely 1s,2s and colts with one successful reserves flag with an impressive undefeated season. League done their job for the clubs elevation to C2 but were out classes by a brilliant Carlise side which they had beaten only weeks ago in a qualifying final.

Again in a reflection of the clubs success more interest from players wanting to join the club circulated and the news broke that we had far too many numbers and were forced to enter our 5th side into the competion being our 4s in the E3 grade which personally I believe is an amazing result for not only the club but also for the community and football in Western Australia as a whole.

With preseason recording record numbers the feel amongst the playing group was confident and with more numbers meant there was more pressure to hold spots and perform, and as all affiliated across all clubs in the C2 grade would agree we came out firing and looked set to be the team to beat,we however never in our wildest dreams expected that tag and had genuinely expected based on two great years back to back this to be a season
we needed to fight to keep our heads above water and find our feet in a grade full of strong sides.

Basically as a conclusion on this post if you take some time out to look at the names that played the first few rounds that saw us take the chocolates and compare it the the list that played last weekend for example and you will notice over 10 changes and I can tell you they are all forced through injuries some expected to be out for a number of weeks still, besides the fact we will continue to field sides and fight our battles but in terms of the character of this proud club we will work through this bump in the road and hopefully it can start with what some of us have tagged the game of the year, hoped to be played in good sprit and a clean nature as Basso is a quality club and although a lot of people think there is no loved lost between the 2 clubs they are correct in a way but there is also alot of old friends between both sides which will obviously be forgotten when the sirens ring for the 1st bounce but no doubt regained when the final siren goes after a belter down at Jubilee.

Good luck to both clubs involved and all other clubs for what's appears to be building up to be the round of the season so far.

Also on behalf of Noranda Football club all are welcome for a beer after any game down at Lighting park as in hind site, football, although a lot of us live and breathe it, myself included, it's still only a game and all involved umpires and coaches included are still human beings and as much as we all know loosing hurts that should be the only hurt all involved should have to leave Saturday at the football with, this nonsense that carries on here is a joke and you will not see me post on here again I literally created a login in as a one off chance to defend the club that has been fantastic to me and several others.

Cheers Gents and all the best for the rest of the season , look forward to a coldly when your next down at the Hawksnest. Hopefully drowning the sorrows haha

It's amazing how offering remuneration to particular players can help you recruit well. Just interesting that you recruited so well for last season and those recruits seem to have jumped ship this season.
