Some good results in WAAFL B Grade Round 6 action.

It was ladies day at Wanneroo and Mr Mysterious was looking the part, decked out in his usual attire, but the ladies knew I meant business.

The young colts side had a win. The game wasn't without incident though with Hamersley Carine going the knuckle from early on in the game. They even resorted to spitting. Which a Wanneroo player to exception to and wiped the spit back on the Hamersley player but that resulted in a free kick and a 50 meter penalty. Later on in the first half a fight broke out, which MrM didn't think was well handled by the men in orange. 2 players were given yellow cards and one Wanneroo player was given apparently given a red card. MrM never saw a red card issued and I never saw any incident that warranted a red card. Wanneroo did come out and blow Hamersley away in the last half. All of Hamersley's goals came from free kicks and 5 out. Of 6 goals came from 50 meter penalties. Undisciplined from the young roos but some may have been unwarranted. Always good to get a win.

The reserves weren't so lucky to get a win. MrM only has a few things to say. Don't expect to play 20 minutes of football and still win that doesn't happen so hit the "track" hard and get better.

The much anticipated league game was a good contest. Wanneroo were lookin good in Pink Jumpers all for a good cause. Hamersely looked good hitting targets with big full forward bagging an early goal. But Wanneroo bounced back and looked good for most of the day. They got out to a few goals ahead during the second term but the third and fourth quarter is where they made an impression. Wanneroo lead by 7 goals at one stage and the margin in the end could have been a lot bigger if it wasn't for Hamersely getting a few late ones in the end.

Wanneroo looked good with the young players again doing the damage. I hear some players are off on a fishing trip next weekend and MrM wasn't invited. MrM is quite disappointed.

Sorry for the brief write ups, I was helping out the ladies in the best way possible... By having a chat to them.

Good write up mr M solid game at the mud pit. Wanneroo blowing hamersley carine out of the park kicking 8 goals to 1 in the third quarter the game was done and dusted right there and then.
As for the fishing trip I've heard that only a certain amount of people can fit on the one boat so maybe next time you may crack an invite!

MrM is a little disappointed he wasn't invited. MrM is a better fisherman and a better commentator than Rex Hunt. I won't forget this TheBigROO.

It was a good game of football at the showgrounds. I thought besides the one quarter both sides were fairly evenly matched. HC blew a couple of critical chances in the first and third quarter from 10 metres out which could have made things a lot closer.

I would also like to commend the umpires on doing a great job, barely noticed them. Unfortunately they are WAFl umpires and we will not see them again for a while . Interestingly though I had a chat to one after the game and he said that they made a concerted effort to not get involved in the game unless there was a CLEAR free kick.and the game benefitted from it.
