How did everyone go on the weekend love to know how the eels and raiders game was ?

A tight, low-scoring contest in damp conditions. The Eels led by a point at half-time but the Raiders got there in the end and were a tiny bit better on the day. Good effort by both sides.

Would of been a great game to watch im curious have the eels lost some good players or have dianella gained all the good ones from nolla and improved a poop load

Good game to watch and reasonable skills were displayed despite the weather. From what I hear DM had a few of their first picked each week out for the game. Eels are a lot better team than 2 and 4 and I feel they will make the 5 still.

I did say a few weeks back that Dianella would surprise these wins are crucial specially against a side that's had there measure over the years.

Btw who was the Ellenbrook player that didn't make the distance from 15 meters out in the last quarter that goal could of been the difference in a close game.

Its going to be a tough one this year for all teams cant let one slip whats with the ellenbrook boys bit quite now their losing a couple games

Really good win for the old raiders down at light st they've had a few touch ups in the past by the power house eels who's the guy they call woods ?? or woodsy he gives ellenbrook a bad name trying to fight our players for no reason besides that it was a really good game for average weather and looking forward for the return leg !

I see Brentwood had a good win against the royals at home would be good to hear about that game !!

Yeah id like to hear what old bulldog has to say I wonder if kenwick had some big outs or if the doggies have found their mojo looks like balla had a big win at home no clear leader yet in this grade

Well well well, what a week of footy! Was a great day down at the kennel for the league team on the weekend!

Was a hard fought out game that came right down to the wire. With appalling weather conditions, Kenwick won the toss and elected to go with the breeze, making good use of the advantage scored 4 goals to our nothing. In the second quarter it was our turn with the wind and we scored 6 goals and letting kenwick score one against the breeze to have about a 1 goal advantage at half time. In the third quarter the game really got bogged down both teams trying to get a break, kenwick with the breeze scored a couple again we didn’t score and they held a 1 goal lead going into the fourth quarter. We came out on top in the end coming home with the breeze, was very tight we got about 10 points up, Kenwick came again but couldn’t convert and we won by about 2 goals in the end.

We are very quick to bag umpires, so I want to say I thought they did a pretty good job on the week end, weren’t really noticed and just officiated the game which was good. In regards to having players out, everyone has players out at some stage of the year so it is just the 22 that get on the park that can do anything, we discussed before the game that both teams have the skill and fitness to win the game, it will just come down to who wants it more, and I guess we wanted it more! I am sure it will be a bit harder when we travel out to Mills park later in the year!

Thought we were playing for top of the ladder this week, but obviously Balla’s big win has claimed that spot, and Kenwick is still yet to play the percentage booster in Manning!, we are also very aware that you don’t play finals in May. This is going to be a very tight comp every game is so important, Highlighted how Kenwick have gone from top to 4th! And 5 teams are sitting on 16 points!

Bring on Cockburn next week, bit of a home game for me as just down the road!

onto our game I don't have much to add to Bulldogs writeup, injuries happen to every club so both teams had the best available team.

Brentwood simply had more composure in congestion seemed to have more runners on the outside and used the wind to full effect when they had it. we haven't been a very high scoring side as yet basing our game mainly off our defence and ability to run out games it's a good starting point but to take that next step we need to be able to score consistently.
