A few interesting results over the weekend paired with some not so surprising ones.
Lynwood cruelly denied Melville there first win of the season in what I heard was a tightly contested affair right until the final siren sounded.
Kingsley at Kingsley made High Wycombe look like a dogs breakfast pretty instantly and kept the foot on the throat until the final siren sounded. High Wycombe look to be firmly placed for a relegation battle this season and Kingsley look as though finals are firmly in their sights.
Not so surprisingly, Kingsway again continued their big scoring start to the season against Quinns, while being equally as impressive in defence, restricting the opposition to just 6 goals for the day. Kingsway at this stage would have to be considered premiership favourites.
Second only on percentage, Ridge continued their winning fortunes with a comfortable win over Gosnells at home.
The interesting result of the weekend for me is the thrashing Canning suffered at the hands of the Stirling Saints. After only beating Lynwood by a goal in round 2, Stirling seem to have begun to hit their strides with 2 impressive performances in a row.
Stirling's game against Ridge this coming Saturday, as well as Kingsley's against Quinns may prove to be interesting indicators as to where both teams sit at this point of the season.
The remaining 3 games are unlikely to throw up anything too exciting or shocking.
Cheers!
