Sorry Gents, couldn't post my tips last week. Short week meaning I was under the pump with work. Lets be honest though, like everyone I would have got 4-right!! I would have chosen Warnbro and was very surprised by the result.

So Bender, if you're feeling charitable, I'll take the 4....! Haaaa

Canningvale vs SNESA

Colts;
Bye - A shame for the Cubs to not be playing two weeks in a row after their poor showing Round 1 vs Thornlie. I can see they are chomping at the bit to get out there and Round 3 vs Bassendean will basically be the start of a new season for them. In a re-match of last seasons Colts GF I am sure the game will be a cracker.

Reserves;
Bitterly disappointing for the Super Two's to have their Round 1 points taken away in lieu of a 'Financial Hiccup'. I do hope the League give us the points back as after the horror that was 2013, our Reserves side deserve the points.
The game itself vs the Saints was a game of 3 & 1. For three quarters the game was a hard fought and tight tussle with both sides putting together fantastic pieces of play. All except for the second term where the Saints booted 6-unanswered goals (which turned out to be about the amount of the win). We did have a couple out from the first game, but nevertheless SNESA deserved their win.

League;
Blow Out!!! On the basis of what I saw from SNESA on Saturday, they will struggle to win a game this season. I don't think they scored until we had 6/7 goals on the board. They were undersized (which is a massive statement considering the size of our team), undermanned and outclassed by the Cougars. The Cougars played a better brand of footy after their Round 1 loss (where they had more of the ball and more scoring shots only to lose the game) as they ran and spread from the backline more efficiently which showed glimpses of the hard running Cougar footy we know we can play. Although we still butchered the ball on numerous occasions going forward, it was good to see - still much improvement to be had. We look forward to the big game vs Bassendean this week who have had a fantastic win!!

Interestingly, I might point out that SNESA have Mick Hanley coaching them... for those ex SFL players, he is Gavin's brother. Mick will bring a hard nosed type of football to the Saints and I believe he has enforced a 'no train, no play' rule which applies to everyone! Ben Harris, who is capable of kicking 100-goals in a season was on the sidelines and didn't even get a gig of Reserves because he hasn't trained.. Be interesting to see how long this rule applies to the Saints after their poor showings thus far.
Loves kicking goals, passing them off is only an option.

Good write up LAG hoping for others as well. Think you may have sold Basso a little short in your predictions. From all reports a new game plan has been trialled and they are fitter. Dont have to rely on handfull of players and also a more strict you must train situation as well , my mate hasnt cracked the league yet but he thinks he is close. Should be a good game this week. Will be getting to this one on sat.

Also LAG , dont think you desreve4 as you probably would of got 3 like most of the tippers did. The Basso and Carlisle game got most people.

Noranda destroyed Coolbinia West Perth in all 3 games, League, Reserves and Colts, to remain undefeated. Thirds got their season of to a start with a six goal win over Ballajura while the newly formed Forths side suffered a Ten goal defeat to Gosnells.

I rate Carlisle, mate. Few blokes I know running around down there.. Will be a force this season, especially with Canning and Quinns gone.

Hey peeps

Ohhh that's correct Noranda smashed Coolbina all over and send a stern warning to all concerned.
Looks like it will be long season down there at Coolbina as they have a reasonable league side but doesn't seem to be much chop chop in there ressies and colts who can come in once injuries etc take place.

Even with there one eyed pistol pete.... One of the worst out there so be ready
Maybe he should pull the boots on

Id say that your colts destroyed Coolbinia but when your league only win by 35 points the word destroyed just doesn't sound right!!
