gutsy win for Roley by a point over forrestdale close all day the falcons just couldnt get up. Melville scored their first win over Coolby .The cats have lost alot of players. Nollamara went down to Quinns in their first game in E1 and will need to rebuild by the looks . Safety bay the team to beat winning by 5 over bayswater.

Ridge went down to the Swans by 8 points. Certainly a winnable game for us and pretty disappointed we couldn't quite get over the line.

Good to see the other thirds teams come back and have a win after their heavy losses in round one. Probably a good call on Safety Bay as the team to beat at this early stage of the season.

Good to see that Swans are stoppable as it is always early in the year when they dominate because of their superior fitness and they come back to pack latter when everyone else catches up fitness wise.

Also heard Safety Bay have big numbers to choose thier team from so they will be the team to beat it looks like.

Swans are very stoppable, you've just got to work hard as a team both ways and be able to shut down the two or three very good players they have that they constantly look for. Finding space can be fairly easy on the larger grounds against them if you're willing to run.

Ocean Ridge almost pulled of a memorable win and gave hope to the rest of the comp that Swans won't be the juggernaut they usually are early in the piece orquite possibly the Ridge could be one of the teams to beat.
Roleystone got up by a point over the Dale at Forrestdale. Two tough teams going at it would of left a few saw boys on Sunday. The Falcons will also be thereabouts this year.
It likes like that The wheels really have fallen of at Nollamara and they got pumped in their first game in E [. Unless they can regroup they will be in fir some paid.
The Rams got their season going in the battle of last seasons two premiers from e2 and 3 and snuck over the line against Cooby. Cooby always start slowly and build themselves up as the year goes on and will get better the longer the season goes especially at their home ground ,The Temple , and sides will be wary of them latter on in the season.
Safety Bay sit on top of the ladder quite rightly with their team full of ex WAAFL players and may take some beating especially at their home ground which will be a long hike for the Northern Suburbs teams.

Safety Bay are vey a very strong team and have over 70 players to chose their two teams from so will be hard to beat in this grade. Plenty of tall key position players and are very hard at the ball.
