So here we are the start of another footy season! The two teams coming down from b grade lost while Quinns had a convincing win over Stirling while Kingsway handed Canning their first lose of the season. The semi final rematch from last yr seen Ridge come away with all grades winning and Kingsley had a good win over Lynwood.

Ridge v Melville @Rams stadium

Started well in the colts with Ridge too strong for the young Rams. Ridge reserves came to play and it showed on the scoreboard with a huge win over the grand finalists last yr. Now to the league game It was a fairly close game upto about half time with probably one of the best hangers you'll ever see from one of the Melville blokes! After half time Ridge took control and started to kick away! Melville have looked to have a few players missing from last yrs sides and didn't run the game out well.

Kingsway beat canning in all 3 grades

Colts game was scrappy early however kingsway seem to hit here straps after halftime and certainly ran the game our a lot stronger there opposition. Result would have been by a lot more if kingsway had kicked straighter

The reserves was all one way traffic with kingsway smashing canning all over the ground. Interesting to see kingsway had about 6 - 7 guys playing who played league last season so they appear to have a fair amount of depth this season

The league game was a tight affair up until just before halftime when kingsway kicked 4 goals in the last 5 mins to open up a 26 point lead at the main break. To Canning's credit they came out after halftime and threw everything at kingsway and kicked the 1st 2 goals to get within 14 points but then it was all,kingsway after that kicking 9 of the llast 11 goals to run out comfortable winners.

Kingsway looked fitter and had a bit more polish although canning will certainly win there fair share of games this season.

Can anyone confirm the result from the Quinn's Stirling game results I got off sportingpulse must be wrong!

Good effort by Stirling colts to kick 4 goals with only 15 players which meant no bench on a very warm day for footy!
