It's been a bloody long summer,thank god round 1 is finally here. Here's hoping for a competitive,hard fought and clean comp.

COCKBURN vs SWAN VIEW- Not knowing much about the Lakers we won't be underestimating them and I'm sure it will be the same from them towards us. A few weeks ago I think I had Cockburn rounding out the 5 but then they pulled their 3rds team so I'm not as confident on my prediction now. None the less we have to be near our best to get a win. Quite a few new faces for us looking to get off to a good start.

MANNING vs ELLENBROOK- Luckily for Manning they get a home game 1st up. Unfortunately for them they come up against a team who is regularly high up on the ladder in this comp and will surely be driven by the failures of recent years. You'd expect a team dropping a grade to be competitive but there has been whispers around that all is not well with the Rippers. The Eels boys have been pretty quiet over the summer and I did hear of an OzFooty ban. Time will tell I guess.
The Eels by 6+ goals but if they loose then the coach could be under the pump.
Ressies-The Eels by 10 goals
BRENTWOOD vs DIANELLA- 2 years ago these teams were battling it out for survival in this comp and now we will see the benifits of going back and rebuilding. From all accounts the Dogs have recruited well and are primed to contend while the Raiders have lost the colts programme and unless they've done some recruiting its hard to see where their improvement will come from. I'd be very surprised if Brentwood didn't win this.

BALLAJURA vs NOLLAMARA- This is probably game of the round for me. Balla have reportedly had good numbers all summer and with strong colts in recent years they'd be looking to be more than also runs for anther year. Nolla are a funny club who were good last year. The difference between their best and worst(on and off field) can be quite a stretch at times. Losing their colts won't help and they'd want to get off to a good start or I can see it being a long year. Then again if they get on a role they could probably beat anyone.
But,The Royals at home on the back of a good summer to get up by 4 goals.

KENWICK vs EAST FREMANTLE- All games are interesting in round 1 but ill be keen to see the result for Kenwicks sake. They too have lost their colts which could stretch them for depth. They were competitive against top 5 teams at times last year and if they haven't lost too many then they should get a win but the Freo boys will be looking to build on a solid finish last year and move from also rand to contenders.

COLTS- Just a comment on our colts game vs Jandakot. Should be a cracker with them having quite a decent squad.

No ban Mad Dog, just waiting for somebody else to do the tipping so I didn't have to again this year......

COCKBURN vs SWAN VIEW- seeing swan view last year a few times I think they will be very handy in C3, not sure about cockburn as havent seen them for a few years but I dont think they will trouble the view

MANNING vs ELLENBROOK- I think last years straight sets will still be burning out in ellenbrook and they are going to come back hangrier than ever, havent seen manning in a few years either but think ellenbrook easy


BRENTWOOD vs DIANELLA- Brentwood have been working hard as I am sure every one has and understands teh importance of getting the year off to a good start. I think we should be able to account for dianella if we come ready to play

BALLAJURA vs NOLLAMARA- Game of teh round for mine. Not sure flip a coin, but Ill take Nollamara

KENWICK vs EAST FREMANTLE- Again know nothing of both sides, but I think kenwick will be too strong from what I remember playing against both of them a couple years ago.
