Everyone is entitled to their own opinion MarkOlsen so I respect that.

Hopefully this will bring back ex WAFL and ex AFL players to the WAAFL. We often get left out as everything either goes to the WAFL or Grassroots (Juniors).

if money is the only thing bringing them to ammos then it defeats the purpose of ammo football one would think..

So no money is changing hands?if not I assume they are doing this out of the goodness of their hearts and all involved will have no problem signing a stat dec with the WAAFL to say no remuneration is paid?
Which club will be the recipient of their generosity next week? lets see monday when the clearances are updated.

As per the 'quick rules' of the Amateur status via the WAAFL android app it states that "a player who is remunerated to play..." will, in short, get themselves and the club in strife.
Now I'm no legal expert here, but the question I have is if clubs comply with the wording of this by-law then is there an issue?

Our club contacted the WAAFL to do a similiar thing last year to raise funds for club but where told a flat no by GM of Ammos as against rules. Even though not technically being paid for game, but sportsmans night following game!

Good luck to those clubs - presume WAAFL approved. If they have chnaged there mind about this would be handy if they informed clubs of a change in heart / rules!

So what's the cost of Embley and Kerr sports day/night package, surely there's 2 clubs that know and possibly a few more who have them booked up for the coming weeks. FEV's about $8000, 2 ex Eagles must cost 5 to 10 I would think

Who knows? Mind you, it's important to remember that Fev needs the money as he is broke, and was declared bankrupt in Queensland due to outstanding debts. Not knowing Kerr's and Embley's financial situation, but I don't think that money is their primary objective as everyone knows that they can get significant coin by playing country football only a few hours outside of Perth.

They aren't getting paid to play that's a fact.
One of them have a personal relationship with the current coach, that good enough for you?
