Its a shame you need a telescope to see the game from the bar, I might have to sneak a 6 pack in a cooler bag and sit on the far side.

I am very confident this game is going to be far from a walkover like a few in the Northern beaches will be suggesting. Both teams had a number of key personel sitting out in Round 18.

Athletic by 17 points and upset another favourite.

I tend to agree with MacAttack.... whilst Swan Ath havent beaten Beach this year, that wont phase them, as they have nothing to loose. At worst they loose as expected and finish 4th for the year. I think that would be a great result. So they have a free crack at 3rd to play in a grand final.

The game will be won through the midfield in my opinion. Swan Ath will heavily rely on Ra, Erceg, etc to battle again Reimo and co. If they can break even in the guts on the big Whitties Oval, they will fair well. Their forward line has been dangerous all year with clearly Big Monster Adams to watch, but also other players who slip under the radar such as Brown and Russell. Anyway it should be a belter of a clash and interested to see what happens with the uniforms since both wear Yellow? Also another side note will be to see if Aitchenson tags Reimo this week, as I suspect Wooden may do so. Mac does Wooden play Polich forward or back this week?

Like other punters I still expecting a University / Wesley grand final with Uni to complete the 3 peat.

great post Boomerman.

I caught the round 18 clash and Athletic now have a black jumper they wore against North Beach, apparently twice this year.

At the end of the day it is NB with the finals experience and runs on the board so despite our optimistic posts it is North Beach in the box seat and there game to lose. I do like the nothing to lose attitude Athletic will have.

Polich will be good at either end, took me 10 minutes to find him last week with that move. You would think forward this week but Wooden seems to be on his toes of late, maybe the wing? Would be a good battle if that tag went ahead, cant see Reimo keeping his composure being heavily tagged

Well if Polich is to play forward, and young Adams could maintain that form, it would take some serious defending to stop those two..... which again would increase the chances of Brown, Russell, etc kicking a few. Not sure where Jarvis plays for Beach these days, but I suspect you may find Polich and Jarvis going head to head at some point (at either end of the ground).

As for the Aitch / Reimo match up. Not sure who would loose their composure yet? I am tipping if Swan Ath are done in the last Aitch might loose the plot and belt someone! :)

my mail tells me Aitch is a changed man after a mid season break. Didnt seem to fired up last week.

Should be a beauty in any case. Perfect weather forcast, hoping I can make it with a conflicting family occassion.

In the other game Uni would be favourites from the win last time out. But Wesley are quality and could win. I will go with Uni by 3 goals.
