All the pressure is on Quinns boys, and coming from experience, having to many games off at this time of year will be a challenge. Players dont want to rest in finals they want to play and the more you play at the right intensity the more chances you have of winning - trust me thats how we won it last year.

Good luck to all and ill pick that Canning will play bassendean in the grand final. We will look forward to playing both next year in C1

Quinns are a monty to win the GF, having the break will do them the world of good, it's amatuer footy not AFL.

I'm with you FS, Quinns have done everything right this year, rarely troubled and yet people are predicting they won't even make the GF. Know it has happened before but not seeing it here.

Even though it is not AFL I also think sometimes the week off can hurt. Quinns would be $1.10 to make the GF and probably win it, but on the day anything can happen. Canning are also a very good chance as stated!

Seen too many teams slip up to think anyone is a monty anymore. If they do make it plenty of them choke. In recent times here's a couple for you

Gosnells - last year were $1.04 favourite against Lynwood.
Kalamunda (all 3 grades if i remember rightly about 3 years ago)
Scarborough (2-3 years ago and might have been a couple teams too)

edit - crap forgot our one. Dianella spanked us by 13 goals 2 weeks prior in 2011 and were again $1.04 favourite only to lose by 7 points on GF day.

ocean ridge a few years back. only lost 1 game during the regular season. lost the GF to coolbinia west perth who came from 5th

If I was a bookie I would be worried offering odds any juicier than $1.50 on Quinns. Been far superior all year and will go the whole way

From a CV perspective. Two years ago in C4, Ellenbrook (who also look likely to join us in C2 next year) were the best team all year, spanked us in the QF by 80-odd points, we then won the next week vs Beechboro setting up a re-match in the C4 GF.

They would have been paying $1.01 to win that game.... we got up by 6-points!

This is why we love footy, gents. The winner can come from anywhere.

Agree, A team that has been superior all year deserves to be favourite, but it is no certainty to win. Depends on injury, players nerves, accuracy , conditions , send offs , umpires etc. So just because you deserve it does not mean you actually get it.

Gents, I hear a little rumour our final against Warnbro won't be happening at the Warnbro Sporting Complex due to works being done on the ground, can anyone confirm this for me??? Looking forward to a cracking final series, has been a massive one for all of us in this C2 comp, I must say one of the better comps I have played in for a while.
