It's time. The final round is upon us. The round still holds some promise for teams trying to gain that extra place in the finals, or teams avoiding relegation. We spend 18 rounds to work out who the best 5 teams are then spend 4 weeks sorting out who is the best among those 5. So it's definitely not over for anyone in the finals.
Lets get stuck into it.

Lynwood Ferndale v Gosnells
Last time they met
Gosnells 14.13 97 def Lynwood 9.11 65
Lynwood are still a chance of getting relegated if they lose here and CWP and Kingsley win. So a lot to play for. Hopefully they can sort out a few things for season 2014. Getting a colts tea, back together, and the introduction of hot chips. Gosnells are still mathematically a chance for finals providing they win by 150 points here and Onion Ridge lose by 150. Who knows what can happen in football, after both teams came from C2 in 2012 you could say that it has been satisfactory 2013
Gosnells by 2 goals

Kelmscott v Ocean Ridge
Last time they met
Kelmscott 15.10 100 def Ocean Ridge 13.8 86
Kelmscott are in the box seat to finish second here and the opportunity for a home final awaits. As I said before Onion Ridge have a very very very slim chance of missing out on finals but it's unlikely. They will face either Melville or Kingsway next week. Should be a good game with both teams looking to tune up for finals.
Kelmscott by 4 goals.

Kingsway v Coolbinia West Perth MOTR
Last time they met
CWP 11.8 74 def Kingsway 8.7 55
Match of the round here as both teams have everything to play for. Kingsway have to win here or they can miss out on 3rd spot and the opportunity for a second chance in the finals. It's no certainty that they ill win here so they will need to be on there game. Especially since CWP have everything to play for. As the ladder stands CWP will be relegated if they lose here, win they can still be relegated. I think CWP can get it done here, and I hope they do.
CWP by 2 goals.

Thornlie v Melville
Last time they met
Melville 25.8 158 def Thornlie 8.6 54
Melville can warmup for the finals with a big win over Thornlie with the possibility of 3rd still open Melville will be looking to keep the foot on the throat and continue on their way. Thornlies season is over and will be looking to take a big scalp and show that they have a lot to offer in 2014.
Melville to win both games by the proverbial mile.
Melville by 10 goals.

Wanneroo v Kingsley
Last time they met
Wanneroo 9.16 70 def Kingsley 10.6 66
Wanneroo have a week off next weekend and will be looking to keep the undefeated season alive against a Kingsley team who is trying the best to avoid relegation. Kingsley should know by the time their game starts if they will be relegated or not, so they may have a lot to play for, or they may not. So it could be an interesting game or a fizzer, either way I may be down drinking a few sponsors products and eating some hot chips.
Wanneroo by 5 goals

Good luck to all, it's the last round of the season so lets not result to the knuckle if you have nothing to play for.
Also Mr Panda. If you are reading this I'd like to hear from you, are you tuning up for finals? Quit work yet?

Enjoy your write ups MM but must point out an error.
The game Kingsway v CWP, you state that Kingsway need to win to be sure of holding down 3rd. They are actually 2 games & % ahead of Melville & 1 game & % behind Kelmscott. The result will have no bearing on ladder position for them - they will finish 3rd no matter what.

Slayed you are correct. Mr Mysterious had a complete brain fade there. Everyone can just disregard this post now because it makes no sense. This is what happens when I rush things, The MOLE didnt start till 10.30pm last night, not 9.30pm so I had a spare moment or 2 and look what I've done. Sorry all, please forgive me

Good evening gents..... Remember me?? Yeah thats right, its the biggest name in amateur footy back in the game.
Its the last round of the home and away season and the highest ranking member of the bear kingdom will be suiting up for that vital 5th game to ensure qualification for the finals series. Expect a huge crowd out at Thornlie Paddock to see the return of the Panda after a few weeks rest and a huge training block with 2.30am starts every morning prior to work to ensure the body is right for a gruelling finals series. After all these early starts and late finishes banging the cleaner on the sly, the fan favourite is ready to defy the odds and is primed to play some of the best footy of his life in the twilight of his career.

Its been a herculan effort by the boys out at roo roo roo wanneroo to go through the season undefeated and its a pat on the back to all at the club who have turned it around from the rot they were dishing up a couple of years ago that saw them drop down to xyz grade. They would be feeling mixed emotions at present as an undefeated season looms...... They would be on a high knowing that their best beats anyone but also feeling the pressure as to fail at the last hurdle would break many hearts. I remember watching North Ballarat many years ago go through the season undefeated only to lose the big dance to East Ballarat...... That is shit that no one ever forgets! Try to keep the jocks clean boys, i would hate to see this happen to you.

This week the Pandas tips go like this;

Gosnells in both games quite easily
Kelmy to roll into finals with a win and OR to get the job done in the early game
Kingsway to rape Cooly both early and late on Saturday
Wanneroo to secure 18 straight in the ones and lose the twos in what has been a dramatic drop off in the second half by the reserves boys
and the Rams to win by 8000 points in the reserves, yours truely to play the whole game as a stay at home FF and kick 15 and the league to run away with an easy victory in the late game and get ready for a home final the following week against the boys from the Reef.

Lets be honest boys, i cant f#cking wait for finals footy to come around. I can smell it in the air up here in Tom Price, it is a bit compromised by the stale smell of the hard pounding sex ive been dishing out to the cleaner but it is distinct and it tells me its time to head home for good times. Anyone who knows the Panda knows that Mad Monday is his Grand Final. With the footy trip soon after and then a trip to South America to work on a 3rd and 4th nostril holes and meet my future Columbian wife and her drug lord father, my advice to you is this.....if you can grab hold of the artist formerly known as the Pilbara Pandas coat tails and get on a ride of a life time then get on board. Men poor at partying for many days in a row and are not lady crushers need not apply. This next few months is not for the faint hearted.

Which one will you have????

Choose wisely and if you see any baby photos of her like this....just know that this guys mates will end you!!!! #pablo

Good to see you are doing well Mr Panda. I for one will be looking to seeing you in action comes finals time. Luckily you are back to qualify for finals. Or have you actually been away? As I notice you have played a few games here whilst being 'away'. Hopefully you are around for my end of season party. It's sure to be a hoot!

Hello Mr D. How are you? No the cricket doesn't start tonight, only a friendly . So I'm home for the time being ill fly back Sunday night. Good to see South Freo are off the bottom of the ladder, although coming 8th and only infront of Peel is like beating Eric Moussambani in a swimming race..
