Whitfords travelled to Wesley and put up a gallant effort. Really proud of how the lads played. Was all square at 3 qtr time but then a couple of the big forwards that were held all day managed to kick a couple on the trot. As the saying goes, the big guys don't get any smaller as the game goes on.
Plenty of positives from the game, had a 16 year old debutant in Stoner and the boy can play. Looked like he has played 100 league games.
Need to win the next 3 to make finals and it won't be beyond them with all of them at home. Get down to MacDonald and support the warriors!

Shiz I cannot believe that a side like Whitfords is facing both the prospect of a finals series and relegation 3 games out from the end of the season.

For Whitties of course they absolutely MUST beat Maddo this week or they will drop to 9th two points behind Maddo and facing certain relegation if they do not win at least one of the last two (NB & ML) which will not be easy games.

For the sake of the competition I hope that Whitties survive and Maddo go down because Maddo have never been competitive on a CONSISTENT basis during their 3 year tenure, given their lack of colts and reserves.

My mail is that Maddo will be calling in a few favours this week to strengthen their League team, so Whitties should not expect an easy game.

As was shown a number of times over the past two seasons, as soon as you write Maddo off to B Grade, they have narrowly survived in A Grade, with last gasp critical wins.

Should be a defining match in the history of both clubs this week.

You're quite right. Will be a huge week. Whitfords but lost 3 games by 10 points or less and drawn with Mt Lawley, season could have been quite different if they were all wins.

Any team can be beaten if they are off their game by 5%. That's been the story of A Grade this year.

Whitfords need to run the Maddox boys off their feet this week. Don't know of they will have the fitness to cover the ground at MacDonal for 4 quarters.

Im sure the Maddington team sheet will be scrutinised before and after the game.

The wesley curtin accuracy at South Oval was amazing. Dont usually see teams running at above 70% accuracy.
