Only 3 weeks left in the season and I'd say the top 5 is finalised, just the order yet to be determined. Wanneroo has secured top spot Kelmscott is in the box seat to finish second and Kingsway can't afford to drop a game as Melville is there with a greater %. The battle for relegation is on. Gosnells might not be in trouble but if they only score 1.3 again it could see them drop. A few interesting weeks for Lynwood, Coolbinia, Kingsley and Thornlie.
Lynwood Ferndale v Kingsway
Last time they met
Kingsway 14.14 98 def Lynwood 8.12 60
Lynwood are fighting to avoid relegation here and play a team that "Premiership Hangover" thinks are the best in the competition, so they should have quite a big fight on there hands. Kingsway are coming off a loss and are still a chance to grab second place and will be out to improve there percentage no doubt.
Kingsway by 10 goals.
Kelmscott v Kingsley
Last time they met
Kelmscott 18.12 120 def Kingsley 5.7 37
Kelmscott had a big win last against finals hopefull Gosnells and will be looking to continue that form against relegation battlers Kingsley. They can nearly lock in 2nd spot wit a big win here. Kingsley are back in 9th spot and are facing relegation. Percentage will be a big player here, so they will be looking to stop the blowout. Kelmscott to good here.
Kelmscott by 10 goals.
Melville v Ocean Ridge
Last time they met
Ocean Ridge 15.7 97 def Melville 9.2 56
This was close to match of the round but I decoded with the other game. Melville are still a good chance to claim 3rd spot if they keep winning. Things are going well down at Ram Stadium. At this stage these two teams are on track to play first week of finals. Onion Ridge are going along quietly with there business, can they beat the rams here and gain momentum heading towards finals, as they have 3 tough games till the end of the season! I think they won't. Should be a good reserves game too.
Melville by 5 goals in both
Wanneroo v Coolbinia West Perth
Last time they met
Wanneroo 17.11 113 def CWP 11.5 71
Wanneroo has sown up 1st spot on the ladder and booked a first round finals bye. They will be out to make sure that they stay undefeated against a Coolbinia team who has a lot to play for. CWP have a fight on there hands to avoid relegation, as I said before it could come down to percentage which means you can't afford to get blown out. I look forward to go day down at TheShowgrounds.
Wanneroo by 10 goals
Thornlie v Gosnells MOTR
Last time they met
Gosnells 22.17 149 def Thornlie 12.12 84
Match of the round here. The good ole Sunday Football is back, even if it is just for one week. Thornlies season is on the line this week. Win and they have a chance of avoiding relegation, lose and it could be curtains on a disappointing 2013. Gosnells are still a slight chance to play finals, but need to improve on the disappointing result from last week. They could also be relegated, so will need to lift this weekend. So watch out Thornlie, Mr Mysterious may just pop his head in for a little look.
Thornlie by 3 goals
Good luck to all. Hopefully it doesn't rain again.
