I remember a qualifying game between Wanneroo & Osborne Park in the 80's that attracted a crowd of 5000. Amo's would only dream of a crowd like that.

It might be bigger, but stronger - I don't think so. Footy across the board is in tough times IMO, look at how many clubs do not have colts or struggle to keep one on the park week in week out. I don't recall a forfeit in 15 years of SFL footy. Plenty of doubling up between the grades too. No point living in the past though, the SFL died for various reasons, just need to make sure we always have plenty of kids coming through to fill teams. Does anyone else think it's getting harder and harder to get blokes to commit on and off the field? Maybe they have more options than I did at that age? Feeling bloody old now talking like this!

I dont think the commission helps Dingo with the colts age. To play colts to 20 means kids are 21 before they have to play league footy, thats silly really. No wonder bloekd dont grow up and struggle to stay in the game when it gets hard.

But the powers that be will tell you footy is booming because there are lots of auskickers, they wont admit to the drop off age from when kids get to 14 onwards......

Well done to Gosnells and Thornlie for putting on a show for past players and members

Bit hard for Ammos to get that size crowd due to more than just one grand final on the day.

Refer bold - not challenging The Rock , but most GF's were around 4,000 in there heydey.

DD, don't A & B grades play a different weekend than the other grades ? In saying that over the past 15 years attendances have dropped at every level under the AFL
