Hi mad dog, not having a go at you alone as a few posters have mentioned this during the year, but of all the stats your team could keep track of to benefit your club what kind of paranoid nut case keeps count on the free kick discrepancy? Can you enlighten us with the difference in clearances, or marks inside 50, or rebounds? Getting sick of the regular complaints about umpires, we are C4 here lads. You wanna play bottom grade footy get used to bottom grade umps.

I noticed both umpires on the weekend did both the reserves ad league games and should be commended for their efforts in allowing us all to have a run around on a Saturday arvo.

Can someone from Ozzy Park check for a kids jacket, blue and black in colour, in your lost property. I'm from Ta's and went down to see the games, and my 10 yo forgot his jacket. Your Pres Nathan knows me but m not sure if he has my phone number. Thanks in advance.

Our bench keep stats on several KPI's. The free kick count isn't to whinge and moan about as pretty sure this is the 1st time I've mentioned the umpiring this year and generally I think it's of a pretty good standard. Sometimes the count can be because your 2nd to the ball or a bit over zealous.
Anyway lads,it's just an opinion. I'm not expecting you to agree.

Just to declare my allegiance - I'm the BBFC Ressies Coach.
I was right next to the incident leading to the yellow card. BBFC player ran over the mark while standing the mark and got a 50m penalty. He yelled "Where's the mark?". Even if the umpire thought he said "fark" instead of "mark" it might have deserved another 50 but a yellow card was excessive.

I think both umpires did OK and I hate any yelling at the umpires at all. We're playing C4 and, well, we get C4 umpires.
Both umpires did both games which isn't ideal either but that's what happens. Clubs provide umpires and sometimes we battle because someone's away or for whatever reason. The big problem here is when both umpires were the most tired, in the 4th quarter of the second game, is when we need them to focused most in any game let alone a high intensity one point game between the top sides.

Why are players doubling up this late in the season when finals are at stake. Shouldn't they be concentrating on the league side getting the win rather than worrying if ressies have a full side? I noticed a few guys from southern river play a full game of ressies then go play league. It could be the difference in the last quarter when a set of fresh legs are required.

When there's still a few games to go maybe they are afraid to have the ressies forfit. I noticed a couple of weeks ago Cockburn ressies fielded 16 players and a few doubled up so without them the ressies game wouldn't have gone ahead. Roleystone also had a couple rotating on and off the bench that doubled up, which I thought was odd since they weren't very competitive in either match. Could have been that a couple of league guys pulled out during the ressies game and there was no choice or just different policies at different clubs. Last year vsing Coolbellup I reckon they would have had 16 of their guys double up for the back half of the season to not forfit and keep the option to have a 2nd team alive, even though they went to a single team this year.

I would agree though if you chose to have players from league propping up ressies to get 22 when your league side has a fighting chance at finals it seems absurd.
