A good week for the away teams with 4 results falling their way. The Cockburn defeat of East Fremantle makes it pretty hard from anyone outside the 5 to break their way in.

Cockburn Lakes (5th) v Noranda (2nd) @ Anning Park
Cockburn smashed East Freo in the “8 point game” to hold their spot in the 5. They now need to consolidate with a solid performance against the Hawks. A couple of wins and finals are guaranteed. After an interesting 3 weeks, Noranda know that they will be playing finals and need to build form going into the business end. The early part of the season was only building towards the next couple of months.
Noranda to win.
Carlisle (3rd) v Nollamara (4th) @ Carlisle Reserve
Match of the Round. It was called off early last time in Carlisles favour, this time the possibility of the double chance means both teams will want to go the distance and get the 4 points. Nolla pushed Noranda last week while Carlisle had an easier win. This should be a ripper.
Carlisle to win.
Dianella Morley (7th) v Belmont (10th) @ Dianella Open Space
Finals might be mathematically possible for the Raiders but everyone knows their season is done and dusted. They are now just playing for pride and ladder position. Belmont lost by over 10 goals last time and I can’t see them getting close this time. Maybe the weather can help them.
Dianella to win.
East Fremantle (6th) v Armadale (9th) @ Winnacott Reserve
A season defining game last week for Easts and they were smashed from pillar to post. The top 5 is still gettable but they need to win nearly every game from now on. Armadale are still trying hard but they know next year is in C4. They will try hard this week but won’t be able to hold back the tide.
East Fremantle to win.
Ballajura (8th) v Ellenbrook (1st) @ Kingfisher Oval
43 points was the margin last time and this week both sides are coming off big wins. Ballajura are out of the relegation zone and will still be aiming to knock off a couple of finals bound sides in the final 4 weeks. The Eels were good on the open space of Coolamon but this week need to adapt to the confines of Kingfisher. This and the weather might make this a tight battle.
Ellenbrook to win.
