So here we are only 4 rounds to go till finals. Things will start heating up this weekend. Wanneroo only needs at least a draw in its final 4 games to secure Top place of the ladder and a first round bye in the finals. Ocean Ridge arguably has the hardest draw in the last few rounds as they look to secure 5th place on place on the ladder. They play Lynwood Ferndale this weekend, but have Melville. Kelmscott and Kinsway on the run home. Lets get into this weekends games.

Coolbinia West Perth v Thornlie
Last time they met
Thornlie 12.11 83 def CWP 10.12 72
10 v 9 here and this match has a lot riding on it relegation wise. If Thornlie can win they are a still a chance to avoid relegation however a loss would almost mean that in 2014 they will be in C2. CWP is in the same boat. If they can win here and other results go favourably for them they will jump to 7th on the ladder and have a better chance of avoiding the drop. I think it will be a tight game this weekend. It's at Yokine Reserve (the ground with the smallest goal and point posts ever) so I'm going with CWP.
CWP 2 goals

Gosnells v Kelmscott
Last time they met
Kelmscott 14.11 95 def Gosnells 10.8 68
Another battle between the two former Sunday league rivals. Kelmscott will be hoping to retain second place on the ladder with win here. Gosnells will need to rediscover the form that saw them sitting inside the 5 other wise a long shot is that they could indeed be relegated. Could be quite a fiery game with several players a leaving one team to join the other during the season.
Kelmscott by 3 goals.

Ocean Ridge v Lynwood Ferndale
Last time they met
Lynwood 11.11 77 def Ocean Ridge 10.6 66
Apparently Lynwood defeated Onion Ridge last time. Who would have thought. Onion Ridge will need to win here and should be hoping to win big if they want to finish 4th. They are a game and a lot of percentage behind Melville so a big win here can give them a chance of finishing fourth and a home final. Lynwood will need to be more competitive than they were last weekend. More losses like last weekend may mean they could get relegated.
Onion Ridge by 10 goals

Kingsley v Melville
Last time they met
Melville 17.15 117 def Kingsley 12.7 79
Melville have been on the charge in this second half of the season. They are as good as chance as any to challenge for the flag and I wouldn't be counting them out. Even if they finish 4th. Kingsley is another team that has had a better second half of the season. Being more competitive has been a plus, however the possibility of relegation still looms. Melville will be to good here.
Melville by 7 goals

Kingsway v Wanneroo MOTR
Last time they met
Wanneroo 18.8 116 def Kingsway 11.5 71
Match of the round up at Kingsway this weekend. Past players day at Kingsway also so you know that a decent crowd will be in attendance. Kingsway held Thornlie to only 3 scoring shots last weekend as they smashed them also Kingsway's full forward kicked 10.4 which is a great effort any way you look at it. Wanneroo is still undefeated and will be out to make sure that record stays intact. This is a possible early finals match up. Or if you are a regular reader of my posts then this is my prediction for the Grand Final. Should be cracking games all day across colts reserves and league as the teams battle it out for the Mayors Cup. I think Wanneroo may be too good here.
Wanneroo by 1 goal

Good luck to all his weekend. Hopefully I can make it to Kingsway on Saturday. At this stage I won't be in attendance, but things can change.

CWP by 3 goals. Thornlie reserves by 1 goal
Kelmscott by 5 goals. Gosnells reserves by default.
Ridge by 8 goals. Ridge reserves by 10 goals.
Cant tip against either of the Melville teams at the moment so both teams by 12 goals.
Wanneroo by 4 goals. Wanneroo ressies by 2 goals.

Nice write up Mr Mysterious......but you did advise that you would try and incorporate some jokes into your posts.....a little disappointed.

May I ask why you will not be in attendance on Saturday Mr John Townsend? Is it because you have another article due for the West, btw great article in Tuesday's West. Well and truly getting to the bottom of Cricket Australias demise.

As for Round 15:
CWP by 5 Goals. CWP reserves to get their first win of the season by a point.
Kelmscott by 3 goals. Gossies by 89 points.
Ridge by 6 goals. Ridge by 12 goals.
Melville by 2 goals (great game, hopefully this on is televised also). Melville by 18 goals.
Wanneroo by 2 goals. Wanneroo by 4 goals.

Top 5 for Reserves, League and Colts will stay as it is till finals. Cooly and Thornlie to get relegated.

I will leave you all with this cracker of a joke I heard yesterday. Have only just managed to stop laughing, was definately my core workout for the week.

Because it was a weapon of Math Disruption"

Sorry Mr Soprano, it appears I am not as funny as I thought, I tried to work in a few jokes, but it wasn't to be. John Townsend is indeed a very good journalist, wise words spoken from him. I have a few theories of my own in relation to the demise of the Australian Cricket team. In regards to Saturday I have a few things on, but don't be surprised if you see Mr Mysterious arrive just in time for the league game.

That is ok Mr Mysterious, your jokes on Saturday night more than made up for it. I do know that you can work in some good jokes within these writeups, i have faith in you.

I didn't realise Johnny Ruffo was playing at a Perth shopping centre again this weekend, obviously you can't miss a second appearance by Heartthrob himself. Hopefully you have a good day. You owe me a beer.

Coolbinia West Perth v Thornlie
Last time they met
Thornlie 12.11 83 def CWP 10.12 72
Thornlie kitchen staff are still realing from the weekend after the big FF at Kingsway went ape celebrating his big haul , apparently he went 2/1 hot dog to goal ratio!
CWP by 9 hotdogs
CWP FF ost goals @ $3.70

Gosnells v Kelmscott
Last time they met
Kelmscott 14.11 95 def Gosnells 10.8 68
Gosnells have been sruggling of late. Kelmscott to get their season back on track with the ninja roundhousing his old team with 5 lazy ones .
A taylor to get mark of the year is paying $8
Gosnells 1-39 $3.90

Ocean Ridge v Lynwood Ferndale
Last time they met
Lynwood 11.11 77 def Ocean Ridge 10.6 66
Onion Ridge are playing much better footy than 10 weeks ago and Lynwood Ferndale are play much worse footy. If I were Lynwood I would consider forfeiting this week to freshen everyone up for a winnable game in the future.
Onion Ridge 80 points
Lynwood Ferndale +87.5 @1.91

Kingsley v Melville
Last time they met
Melville 17.15 117 def Kingsley 12.7 79
Melville are flying over the last 8 weeks and its fair to say Kingsley are up and about also. This has all the making of an upset. Take a brave man to tip against the Bamboo bums and I am not that man.
Melville By 3 Bamboo bums
Kingsley-Melville-Kingsley-Melville @ $7.95

Kingsway v Wanneroo MOTR
Last time they met
Wanneroo 18.8 116 def Kingsway 11.5 71
The Mayors Cup, It does not get any bigger than this in Amatuer sport! Kingsway Hunter has been priming (perming) himself up for for weeks ! The Kingsway kitchen staff have contacted Mrs macs. Apparently Kingsway FF has gone on the record to say that he will go 3/1 Sausage roll to goal ratio and has predicted another big haul. Rumor has it that Wanneroo have rested up to 8 players and thrown the kitchen on Kingsway to win as they have upgraded the players trip from Bali to Berlin in hope of a glimpse of the Panda in action.
First Draw of the season
Draw at the end of any quarter @ $13
Either team under 15.5 @$2.75

Best of luck all

May not be able to make it to the game this weekend either mr M, however it should be a cracker of a game to see who gets the mayors cup. I have heard Wanneroo have a lot of injuries at the moment so this should make it an interesting contest.
