Last week we saw top 5 vs bottom 5 and three results were predictable with Brentwood, Secret Harbour and Jandakot looking to have easy wins. The View had a tighter than expected tussle with Osborne Park and the game tipped to be the game of the round ended up being the game of the round! By the game review it sounds like the River did a North Melbourne and lost it in the final quarter to a very hungry Trinity side (and an umpire).

Mad Dog once again topped the round tipping and claimed his whopper, the other tippers gave the Southern River Kangaroos too much credit to dispose of Trinity. I must admit I stopped putting North Melbourne in my multis a month ago and have been a lot better off, that strategy may pay similar for tipping the River. FL 87 is falling back into the pack and letting Mad Dog get away as his outsider tip of Wembley backfired. Screech and the frequent non-tipper Footblr got the default away tips and only got 1 point for their (lack of) effort. Funnily enough that tip was against Screech’s own team. These two tippers are now set apart at the bottom of the ladder.

1. Maddog - 5 - 51
2. FL87 - 3 - 49
3. BD 1980 - 4 - 45
4. RJ - 4 - 43
5. Footblr - 1 - 42
6. Screech - 1 - 40

The investigation into Footblr’s tipping style still continues, although a precedent has been set by Footytips.com.au, where a tipper is not ruled ineligible for the weekly prize when they don’t submit the tips. The Friday night’s game showed how a forgotten tip can pay off for yours truly when Carlton got up by 1. This precedent could be the saving grace for Footblr’s tactic. Non-tippers may also be in with a treat with all round 6 results going to the home team, so it could be the away teams turn on the return leg.

This week’s games;

Roleystone (8th)vs. Jandakot (5th)@ Cross Park
Last Time: Jandakot 102 df Roleystone 38

Swan View (1st) vs. Brentwood Booragoon (2nd) @ Brown Park
Last Time: Brentwood Booragoon 91 df Swan View 57

Cockburn Cobras (9th) vs. Southern River (4th) @ Davilak Reserve
Last Time: Southern River 126 df Cockburn 59

Wembley (10th) vs. Secret Habour (3rd) @ Henderson Park
Last Time: Secret Habour 85 df Wembley 59

Osborne Park (7th) vs. Trinity Aquinas (6th) @ Robinson Reserve
Last Time: Trinity Aquinas 97 df Osborne Park 58

Enjoy!

No preview for me this week. Just tips amd expectations.

Jandakot to keep pressing for a finals spots.
Swan View to get their return match revenge
Southern River, something has to change for us, we'll turn it around this week.
Secrets, Wembley let me down last week, not gonna back them against a strong side.
Osborne Park, GOTR, The Park to hopefully bring back TAs to reality and down the ladder.

Good luck to all (well not all, you'd know why by now)

well what a HUGE week this is, can not wait for saturday afternoon 2.30pm!!!

Need to get teh mental edge over Swanview and knock em off a couple times this year, everyone is well aware they need to be on top of their game, can not afford to have any passangers this week!!! not that we can any week, but probably the hardest trip in C4 this year out to take on teh grape pickers on their own dung heap!

Roley were absolute rabble last week, i think Jandakot will have another comfortable win, but dont take them lightly. Also watch out for behind the play hits, they are a big fan

Brentwood the only team to have beaten swanview, although at our ground under lights. This week totally different, bringing in some form and have got a near full strength side so will be a cracking game. I will back us in all the way, hopefully home by 5 goals so not too stressfull down the back line!

Southern River need to have a win here or could find themselves fighting it out for 5th spot. I think they will get over the line

Wembley got spanked a couple weeks in a row now and face the in form team of southern river. kind of dreaming here, but hopeing wembley can get up in an upset!

Park need this win as do TA's, ui think TA's will find this week harder and park to have a comfortable win keeping the finals dream alive!

Bulldog mate, the Grand Final is not this weekend! It's still 8 weeks away. If I was you guys id be more worried about winning to keep 2nd spot than gaining a "mental edge". Anyway time will tell,we are just looking foward to another challenger coming to Brown Park. Not sure the make up of our team but whoever plays will be ready to go and it's not the be all and end all. I'll tip us to win by 4 goals.
Ressies-The View by 6 goals
In the other games...
-If Roleystone have the same team against Jandakot as they did against us then I reckon they can pull off an upset and keep 5th spot open. The Jets colts are in Nth Freo this week so no doubling up,could leave them short. Roleystone by 3 goals
Ressies-Draw
-Cockburn could produce another upset and get over The River if they haven't lost too much heart from last week. The River by own admission are in struggle town and could amazingly miss the 5 if they don't pull the finger out.
Cockburn by 2 goals
Ressies-The River by a goal
-Secret Harbour should keep the pressure on Brentwood here for 2nd spot.
The Harbour by 6+ goals
Ressies-The Harbour by 2 goals
-The Park vs TA's game should be and absolute cracker with both teams season on the line. I was more impressed with The Park boys and they are a better group of blokes so I hope they get the job done. The Park by 4 goals
Ressies-Would be nice for our Ressies if The Park could get up. Will tip them by a goal.

Yeah dead right db, we all know I meant secrets, surely river can't be in form!

And mad dog, don't worry about grand finals, one week at a time champ, all that matters at the moment is this weeks game, we can't look to far ahead, need to win every game to secure home final! looking forward to having a beer after the game
