Looks like it will be a big few weeks in B Grade as we head towards the finals. Looks like Kala and Scabs are safe in the top 2 but 5 teams are fighting out the last 3 spots. BCL have done a huge job in fighting back to the top 3 while WCC have seemed to drop off.
Lets have a look at the run home for these 5 teams

BCL: 8/5/1-34pts. The draw against Scabs could work for or against in the coming weeks. Play Scabs this week in a huge game, if they win will almost guarantee a finals spot. Still to play Scabs, North Freo, Wembley and Hamersley Carine so all teams looking for a top 5 spot. Prob the toughest run home but winning a few of these will give them great confidence leading into finals

Wembley: 8/6-32pts. Arguably a tougher draw than BCL leading home. Games against WCC, Scabs, BCL and North Freo. If they win 2 this might be enough to get through especially if they beat WCC this weekend which is a huge game to shape the finals outcome

Ham Carine: 8/6-32pts: % is against them at the moment. Have a tough run home but should account for Willetton this weekend if they are going to contend. They have WCC, Scabs and BCL to come. The final game against BCL could decide a finals spot.

WCC: 7/7-28pts. Good % which may play a factor. Have gone missing losing their last 4 games after a good start to the yr. The nest 2 weeks might well shape their finals destiny as they play Wembley and Ham Carine. Tough one against Kala and then should win their last against HW

North Freo: 6/8-24 pts. Disappointing season but are coming together at the right time. If they make it could be a side that wins from 5th spot. If they lose either game in the next 2 weeks against HW and BCL they are out so these shape as must wins. Stirling and Wembley to finish.

Final Ladder Prediction:
Kala
Scabs
BCL
Wembley
Ham Carine
WCC
North Freo

Always take an interest in B Grade at this time of year to assess the travel implications for the following season.

It seems as you say FP that Kalamunda & Scabs are the red hot favourites to front up in the GF, but the sleeping dragon Nth Freo seems to have waken up finally and probably will make the five if they win the last three.

The bottom three sides play each other in the last three which means most of the games are between the sides (3rd to 7th) which will make it very interesting.

Of course Nth Freo drop any of the last three they are done & dusted for 2013.

I do agree if NF get in they will be a chance. Looking back over the results it seems they have only had the one bad game over the last 8 weeks.

Old rivalries die slowly so for mine, if Nth Freo stay in B Grade for another year I'm happy to pack the esky and head up to Kalamunda in 2014!

This weeks win saw Nth Fremantle move into the top five for the first time this year, a feat that seemed most unlikely after a terrible start to the season. They are now perfectly placed to really take it up to Kalamunda & Scarborough and challenge for the Flag.

Assuming they beat 4th placed Wembley next week they will face the winner of H/Carine and Bullcreek Leeming in the Elimination Final the following week. Of course if they lose then they cannot make the finals.

West Coast Cowan play High Wycombe and should win to retain their 3rd spot with a healthy percentage advantage. They will then play Scarborough in the qualifying final to earn a crack at Kalamunda.

counting the chickens bit early Hawkeye, seeing that you haven't got anywhere near Kalamunda this year and have been not overly convincing against the other top team Scabs I wouldn't call scraping into fifth placed perfectly. You will still have 3 hard games before the grand final remembering if you lose one your out

North Freo will struggle on the bigger grounds of Scabs and Ray Owen with there older list against faster and harder running teams

North Freo will be out second week of the finals in my opinion

but good luck all the same

Justgetakick finals are strange things anything can happen as you should know from a couple of years back when Kala got beaten in a grand final that they should have won.

Been away for awhile traveling but what a great season we are having in B grade. Big week ahead- West coast v Scarborough and North Freo v BCL. Kalamunda dropping a game last week to Scarborough so it looks like game on with Kalamunda going out in straight sets the last two years. Will history repeat itself! Are Scarborough now the hot favourites. Only time will tell. North Freo in form and playing well! In Six days time will tell! Good luck to all in the finals....
