Well I would think most results are as expected this weekend - perhaps the margins are the surprise. Quinns, Mossie Park and Basso all have 100+ point wins. An inaccurate Canningvale just get over the line against SNESA in last years C3 GF Re-Match - the scores don't reflect the intensity of the game.. Finally, Canning overcome Warnbro in the GOTR. This leaves 6-sides fighting for 5-spots and in the relegation battle, the Royals still just the one win behind the Valley.

Poor result from our Cougar Cubs. AFter giving SNESA a 5-goal to Zero head start they managed to play two decent quarters of football and were up by 3-goals at the final change only to be over-ran by a hungrier SNESA outfit. To score 11-goals in two quarters and 1-goal in the other two really just proves that our boys need to switch on for a whole game. With a bit of luck this will be a wake up call for our Colts! Well done to SNESA for not giving up - deserved win!

Same as usual, the CV super-two's found themselves undermanned, out gunned and less experienced. As usual they didn't give up and keep fighting.
League
Canningvale keep their undefeated record against SNESA - but not after SNESA put up a good fight. SNESA who were Benny Harris-less came out firing and kicked the first two goals of the match before the Cougars steadied to be leading by 3-points at 1/4 time. Second term saw the Saints and Cougars fight ferociously in the midfield and in lieu of their accuracy, the Saints had a 1-point lead at the main change. The third quarter saw the Cougars kick a couple of quick goals to take a 2-goal lead, a lead which they kept until the end of the quarter. In the final term, it was all one way traffic as the Cougars kicked away, only to not make the Saints pay on the score-board (kicked 4.10 for the term). All in all a closely, and hard fought game for three quarters.
