This week sees the Top 5 take on the Bottom 5. While you would normally think that would provide some straight foward results that's not this case with The River and Jandakot, who both sit in the 5,in somewhat of a rut. It's still mathematically possible for TA's and The Park to make the 5 so they should also be up and about.

SWAN VIEW vs OSBORNE PARK-The Park have hit some form after a slow start and have crept up on the top 5. They now find themselves only a game behind Jandakot but face their biggest test so far when they travel to the the foot of the hill to take on The View. We will relish the challenge and should have a few back in,hopefully will have a more settled line up in the run to the finals. The View by 5 goals
Ressies-The View by 3 goals.

BRENTWOOD vs ROLEYSTONE-Brentwood got back on the winners list last Saturday after some patchy form and will be looking to carry that on before a top of the table clash against The View next week. They take on Roleystone here who put up a fight for a half last week before being outclassed. It's no secret that they don't handle the bigger ovals so well and with Brentwood having a lot more to play for the Dogs should get the job done. Brentwood by 5 goals
Ressies-Brentwood by 4 goals

SECRET HARBOUR vs COCKBURN-2 teams that are at separate ends of the ladder but they both are playing some good football. The Harbour are pushing hard for 2nd spot and a home final while The Cobras are looking for another scalp. I can't see the Harbour dropping this one at home. The Harbour by 8 goals
Ressies-The Harbour by 10 goals

SOUTHERN RIVER vs TRINITY AQUINAS-Bit quiet down at The River after some bad losses. This game is no given on current form, especially with TA's sure to be having one last roll of the dice. They dropped off last week after some good form and player availability in the higher grades could've taken its toll. The River need to stop the rot ASAP in the run to the finals, don't think they will,TA's by 2 goals.
Ressies-TA's by 6 goals.

JANDAKOT vs WEMBLEY-Jandakot,another team in the 5 looking to get back on the winners list having dropped their last 2. At home they should get the job done but as I've said previously, when their colts play at a different ground it can have an impact. The colts are at Ellenbrook this week so another quick dash down the fwy if they are needed to double up. Wembley have had a tough couple of weeks and would be looking to get a coupe of wins in the last 5 games. Don't think it will happen here but it will be a close game IMO. Jandakot by 3 goals
Ressies-Wembley by 8 goals

ok some huge games coming up!!!

hopefully RJ updats the ladder soon enough, as i have lost motivation.... well am actually flat out with year end stuff!

so View Vs Park, the park have coem good in the last few months and are creeping up on finals, but as they say, to play finals you have to beat the best, so this week is their chance. Unfortunatley Swan view will be too strong

Brentwood Vs Roleystone, another big challenge for us, and again the revolving door is in full swing, hopefully get a settled 22 towards finals!!! I think the boys know what is on the line and a solid 4 qtr performance should see the dogs across the line.

Secrets Vs Cockburn, cockburn are on a high and played some good footy to beat some good teams in the last two weeks, secret harbour have not given up hope on the 2nd spot and will need a win this week to stay in the hunt, too much at stake, secrets to continue on their merry way.

River Vs TA's, this is an interesting one, river been a bit down of late, and from last time we played them TA's were pretty good, this could go either way if river are not on their game, but with so much at stake, river to win

Jandakot and Wembley, this a huge game for jandakot, must win to try get two games clear of park. wembley were not that bad last week and will put in a good effort, but i think they are more concerned about winning a 4ths flag then being competative in the thirds. Jandakot to win

Mad dog has adopted a new tipping style over the last few weeks, opting to come out and tip first, rather than most of the season being an 11th hour tipper. Bold move as he is in tied on top and other tippers may use his tips to choose against and peg some points back! Lets see if this style sees him well into the next few rounds.

Tipping ladder!

1. Mad Dog - 2 - 46
1. FL87 - 2 - 46
3. BD 1980 - 2 - 41
3. Footblr - 4 - 41
5. RJ - 3 - 39
5. Screech - 4 - 39

There are calls to investigate Footblrs strategy of non-tipping as a legal method of tipping. Similar to the AFL peptide scandal I predict the investigation will be in process with all officials saying not much publicly, until they lose all premiership points at the last round of the season, and possibly lose a couple of draft picks in November. But I digress, I think it will show if he wants to keep to the strategy with all the bottom 5 all being away this week. As a point of reference Away teams wins for the season sits at 30 from 65 games.

Now on to the games!!!

Swan View vs. Osborne Park @ Brown Park
Osborne Park have been quietly knocking off who they need to to close in on the 5. Swan View have been knocking off all contenders waiting for their redemption round against Brentwood next week. Swan View to win this.

Brentwood Booragoon vs. Roleystone @ Karoonda Park
Brentwood have more to play for and need to start putting these teams away early. Brentwood to win.

Secret Harbour vs. Cockburn Cobras @ Rhonda Scarrott Reserve
Secret Harbour will fancy themselves although Cockburn are a different team than at the start of the season. Word on the streets is that Harbour are a lot better at home so I'll go with that advice. Secret Harbour to win.

Southern River vs. Trinity Aquinas @ Sutherlands Oval
I'll give this the match of the round since both are fighting for a lot. TAs has pretty much a last ditch effort to see some finals action. River should have done enough to be in the finals although playing like they have been they'll be knocked straight out. 5 games to recify it and get a plan going and this is where they will start to steady their ship. The River to win.

Jandakot vs. Wembley @ Atwell Oval
Jandakot are 5th by only a game and need to keep winning to stay there. With The Rivers form lately, 4th spot isn't out of the question either. Wembley are playing for pride but are a good bunch of blokes that will give it a fair crack. Jandakot with more on the line will win.

Well I've been in hiding the last couple of weeks from OzFooty. Not because our sides have been having bad losses, but because I've been snowed under with work and commitments to my kids to be able to get on and type up a preview. Luckily, I've managed to sneak out whilst the wife n kids are fast asleep to get on a give my preview. First of, the ladder for both League and Reserves...

League
1 Swan View (C4) 13 12 1 0 0 0 1334 588 226.87 48
2 Brentwood Booragoon (C4) 13 10 3 0 0 0 1254 940 133.40 40
3 Secret Harbour (C4) 13 9 4 0 0 0 1188 945 125.71 36
4 Southern River (C4) 13 8 5 0 0 0 1118 1001 111.69 32
5 Jandakot (C4) 13 6 6 1 0 0 1094 1115 98.12 26
6 Osborne Park (C4) 13 5 7 1 0 0 957 1040 92.02 22
7 Trinity Aquinas (C4) 13 5 8 0 0 0 1072 1190 90.08 20
8 Roleystone (C4) 13 5 8 0 0 0 932 1299 71.75 20
9 Cobras (C4) 13 2 11 0 0 0 946 1309 72.27 8
10 Wembley (C4) 13 2 11 0 0 0 806 1274 63.27 8

It's still anyone's game to take 2nd on the ladder, that is if only Brentwood Booragoon lose a game or 2 in the next 5 weeks. Our boys started off great but something has happened that I'm not sure about down there, every loss has brought morale down to, but hopefully we can get back on the winners board this week and for each week after that. Jandakot and Osborne Park are fighting for that 5th spot, although Trintiy Aquinas and Roleystone are an outside chance, but they would need to have results go their way to make it.

Reserves
1 Trinity Aquinas (C4R) 13 11 2 0 0 0 1216 530 229.43 44
2 Swan View (C4R) 13 10 3 0 0 0 1103 585 188.55 40
3 Wembley (C4R) 13 10 3 0 0 0 1055 596 177.01 40
4 Secret Harbour (C4R) 13 8 5 0 0 0 1023 708 144.49 32
5 Osborne Park (C4R) 13 7 6 0 0 0 802 766 104.70 28
6 Southern River (C4R) 13 6 7 0 0 0 684 877 77.99 24
7 Brentwood Booragoon (C4R) 13 4 9 0 0 0 711 1003 70.89 16
8 Roleystone (C4R) 13 4 9 0 0 0 655 1075 60.93 16
9 Cobras (C4R) 13 3 10 0 0 0 719 1154 62.31 12
10 Jandakot (C4R) 13 2 11 0 0 0 533 1207 44.16 8

In the reserves, Trinity Aquinas, Swan View and Wembley are fighting out for the top 3 spots with Secret Harbour, Osborne Park and Southern River fighting it out for the last 2 finals spots. Extremely disappointing with our boys and our form of late. Started so well with 4 from 4 but have only won 2 form the last 9 games. We expect to take it up to the Trinity boys this week to bring back the fire we had at the start of the season.

Anyways, onto this weeks games...

Swan View V Osborne Park
Big game for The Park boys after coming from a classy win over The River away last week. The View boys are still all guns blazing and have sown up top spot with the well deserved week off. I think if The Park boys keep their side the same from last week, the are a chance to beat The View boys. Watch out for No. 15 for The Park, completely dominated us last week. Tough to pick. Going with THE VIEW BY 3 GOALS
Reserves - The View

Brentwood Booragoon V Roleystone
The boys from the hills need to have every game go their way for the remainder of the season to be playing finals this year. Basically an Elimination Final for them this week and they face the might of the Dogs. I know for a fact that The Dogs are beatable at their home turf, unfortunately for The Stoners, I don't think they'll be able to do it and they'll miss out on finals again for another season. THE DOGS BY 5 GOALS
Reserves - The Dogs

Secret Harbour V Cobras
Going to have to rush my preview now beacuse the kids are up and I'll be late for work if i keep going on and on. The Harbour at home easily THE HARBOUR BY 8 GOALS
Reserves - Secrets

Southern River V Trinity Aquinas
GOTR I feel in context for not only our form, but to run into the finals as well. If TA's can pull off a couple of upsets, it'll really shake up things in the last 5 weeks of the season. I ain't going against my boys, I think we'll get back on the winners list with a few good ins this week, I'll also back our reserve boys in a huge upset of the ladder leaders.
The River by 4 Goals in both

Jandakot Vs Wembley
Tough game to pick, The Jetters are beatable at The Swamplands, and The Magpies are capable of doing it. Going for the outsider in this one as it'll shake up not only the ladder, but the tipping ladder as well. It'll either pay off for me or smack me in the face. Either way, all in the name of fun.
Wembley in both games by 2 goals

Good Luck to all
